Pig Destroyer Support: SECT, Tomb Mold, Mount Cyanide Date: Saturday July 27th, 2019 Venue: Velvet Underground in Toronto, Ontario Mount Cyanide was f***ing incredible. I saw them over Christmas break last year and was really impressed by them then but they were even better this time around. I don’t even know if they played for twenty minutes but it was perfect. This is the third time I’ve seen Tomb Mold in as many months. They’re going to be huge. All of Pig Destroyer was watching them from the side of the stage. I personally don’t get i” but I think this crowd was especially ruckus because it was a hometown show. They play somewhere in town once a month so it’s really not a big deal. But then I thought back to the first death metal bands I heard and remembered that feeling so I get it. They were good tonight but played a little too long for my liking. And I can’t even make my joke about it being nice that they let their dad play bass because he’s grown a beard and almost looks the same age as the rest of the band. SECT was cool. I’m not into hardcore that much anymore (that phase was a short one) but these guys were better than most. A little too much chitchat between songs. I don’t have many “bucket list” bands because I’ve seen almost everyone I want to see, or they’re gone and I’ll never see them. But Pig Destroyer is a bucket list band for me. I’ve been listening to them for almost twenty years and this is the first time they’ve ever played Toronto. And yeah, it was a dream come true. They sounded phenomenal. Scott Hull was a f***ing beast on the guitar, J.R. sounded incredible on vocals and I learned what Blake Harrison does in the band...a few samples, walk around the stage making scary faces and most of the vocals in the Diplomat. At least tonight anyway. He also seems like he may be the bands “leader”, which is funny because they were around for ten years before he joined the band but he carries himself in that manner. I could barely hear the bass player but that doesn’t matter. They didn’t play all my favourites but I’ve waited twenty years to lose my shit to Trojan Whore and Piss Angel and lose my shit I did. It’s probably a good thing they didn’t play the Bug, Thumbsucker, Gravedancer or Towering Flesh. Especially the Bug. That “COME ON” part in the bridge may have hurt something. The crowd was rabid for them and called them back out for TWO encores. They don’t even do encores. They were going to play more but J.R.'s voice was shot. Yeah, they were f***ing incredible. Pig Destroyer1. Dark Train 2. Loathsome 3. Sis 4. The American’s Head 5. Eve 6. Rotten Yellow 7. Starbelly 8. Army of Cops 9. Terminal Itch 10. Circle River 11. Totaled 12. The Torture Fields 13. Pretty in Casts 14. Terrifyer 15. Crippled Horses 16. Cheerleader Corpses 17. Scatology Homework 18. Trojan Whore 19. Piss Angel encore 1: 20. Sheet Metal Girl 21. Hyperviolet encore 2: 22. Darsombra, Uxvae, Subterranea, Grey Heaven Grey Earth Date: Thursday August 1st, 2019 Venue: Sneaky D’s in Toronto, Ontario The first act Grey Heaven Grey Earth was a noise/drone/doom guy but he was really good. It was more than just distorted wind. He broke a guitar out midway through his set and did some Sunn 0))) worship. Funny thing was I was standing next to him at Pig Destroyer a few days ago. Small world. I saw the next act playing as Astronauts Daughter (a duo) a few months ago but tonight she played as a solo act Subterranea. There was a lot more going on with this performance and it was really cool. It was minimal electronic gothic music with opera vocals. If there’s one sentence to describe Uxvae it’s “holy shit they were incredible”. It was similar music to the others; slow gothic drone. But they did something special that made it...special. I shouldn’t even joke around. This was one of those performances that changes a persons life. They didn’t have any CDs left so I bought a download card. Darsombra were much tamer but they were a f***ing trip too. Imagine the spacier parts of Ufomammut but WAY more interesting. Visually they were f***ing awesome too. The guy just jammed out riffs but the way the girl moved and played the keyboard was so f***ing sexy. They had a really good sense of humour, with their video screen playing some basset hounds during the one light-hearted part of their set and they lyrics playing on the screen sing along style. Their lyrics consisted of “ah yay, ah yay, ah yay, ah yah yay; ah yay, ah yay, ah yay, ah yah yay; ah yay, ah yay, ah yay, yay ee ah oh”. And they were just the happiest people I’ve seen playing on stage; smiling the whole time…high as f***ing kites. Nice people too. I bought their new album after the show and it’s one forty-two minute song called Transmissions; which was their entire set tonight. I didn’t expect this to be some strange spiritual zen show. I thought I was going to a metal show. I just know the promoter and I've never left one of his shows disappointed so I just go. But it ended up being really f***ing cool and I’m glad I came out. The first two acts both played a little to long and the last two acts didn’t play nearly long enough but that’s fine. Darsombra are touring for the next two months and I have no idea where they’re playing but if you see their name on a poster or something check them out. Sneaky D’s rules on nights like these because there weren’t even twenty people there and their drinks are piss cheap. Vesication, Blastomycosis, Burdizzo, Mors Verum Date: Saturday August 3rd, 2019 Venue: Duffy’s Tavern in Toronto, Ontario The first band Mors Verum was two kids playing death metal with drum and bass backing tracks. I felt for them and I respect their balls. And they weren’t entirely terrible. The vocals were way too high in the mix but that wasn’t their fault. The drum programming was really good. But they kinda took a page from every death metal bands book. I swear I’d heard one of their riffs in some other bands songs. Burdizzo have been around the Toronto scene for a couple years now, usually opening for bigger touring death metal bands like Aborted and Brujeria. I was supposed to see them opening for both those bands but I never made it in time. ...they kinda sucked. Musically they were good but their vocalist wasn’t very good at all. If they got a better grindcore singer or maybe a guy who did death metal they’d be much better. It took Blastomycosis a few songs to get going. They’re a pretty cool local brutal death metal band but their big problem is their singers stage presence. He literally stands there and always looks like he’d rather be anywhere else in the world. And high as f***. They were good but it’s hard to get into a band when the band themselves look so uninterested. Vaginal Addiction were supposed to play last but they had to drop off the show a week ago so Vesication got added to the show and it became their CD release show. I made it through two songs and I bailed. They were terrible. This show was garbage. I only stayed as long as I did because I was already there. The best band may have been the two kids playing along with a programmed rhythm section. Vesication Blastomycosis Burdizzo Mors Verum

Fister, Horse Lung, Pitiless Date: Sunday August 4th, 2019 Venue: the Bovine Sex Club in Toronto, Ontario Before last night I don’t think I’d ever seen a band that was a guitarist and a singer playing to a programmed rhythm section. But now I’ve seen two in two nights. Pitiless were more grindcore crust than the one last night (who were brutal death metal) and they were honestly terrible. They depended too much on the samples and programming which sounded far too programmed. And the singer knocked my drink all over me. But they did a cover of Nine Inch Nails Mr. Self-Destruct so they weren’t all bad. Just mostly bad. Like, eighty-three percent bad. Like everything other than the cover was bad. I’ve seen Horse Lung before and they’re okay. Just another sludgy doom band. Their songs seem longer than the other million sludgy doom bands I’ve seen. Like...”forever” longer. And Fister was (you guessed it) another doomy sludge band too. So many doomy sludge bands. I’m over them. But they did a doomy sludge cover of For Whom the Bell Tolls then a doomy sludge cover of Mandatory Suicide, so that was neat. It was honestly pretty awesome. Like, best part of this whole crappy show awesome. Too bad their original songs dragged the set down. I think my enjoyment of shows at the Bovine Sex Club is soley dependent on what movies they're playing at the bar and tonight they were playing Point Break, some Alien knock-off and some live concert video of some band that wasn't Skinny Puppy. Neurotic Entertainment 5th Anniversary Show Featuring: Stolos, Dead Asylum, Saudade Date: Thursday August 8th, 2019 Venue: Duffy’s Tavern in Toronto, Ontario I’ve seen some of the members of Saudade in another band, which I cannot remember the name of right now. That band was somewhat laughable but Saudade was really good. Simple primal black metal. I liked them. The next guys Dead Asylum came all the way from British Columbia to play to maybe fifteen people but they were really good metalcore that leaned closer to melodic death metal. The last band Stolos gets bonus points for visual presentation. Musically they were f***ing awesome too. Some nice, occult black metal. I was even going to by merch afterwards but they only had a tape and a t-shirt I wasn’t overly thrilled with. You could’ve fooled me this was Neurotic Entertainments fifth anniversary show. There were maybe thirty people there and a lot of the regulars who usually show up to her shows were absent. But rather than holding the anniversary show on the weekend of the anniversary I think this was the actual date of the five year anniversary and it was a Thursday. I’m not sure if some other bands were in town tonight either. She didn’t even book any of her usual “go to” bands like Lutharo or Ammo. But I got a commemorative t-shirt...from a show she did on a boat last month that I didn’t even go to. She’s so hot. Too bad because of all her shows I’ve gone to this was maybe the best one. It was way more black metal and way less butt metal. I think one more band would’ve done this show best. It felt really short. Harms Way Support: Jesus Piece, Fuming Mouth, Real World Date: Saturday August 10th, 2019 Venue: the Hard Luck Bar in Toronto, Ontario I showed up a little late and missed most of Real Worlds set. They were a typical hardcore beat down band. The singer is the least “hardcore beat down” looking guy I’ve seen in my life. He reminded me of that one guy in Michael Jackson’s Beat It music video. I sat back during Fuming Mouth because my back’s been bothering me this week but they were really good. They were kind of a midway point between Entombed-core and beatdown. When they leaned more to the death metal side of things they were really cool because their songs were really basic and fast. The only problem was they only have one guitar player and the sound died during the few leads they had. I bought a shirt and a CD and the singer was a really nice young man. I think Portrayal of Guilt are part of this tour but they didn’t play tonight. I saw them in February and they would’ve really stuck out like sore thumbs at this show. Jesus Piece weren’t bad either. Just another hardcore beatdown band. They were tight and sounded good but they had too much downtime between their songs. Seeing Harms Way tonight meant a lot to me. For years the band I’ve seen live the most times has been Bon Jovi, who I’ve seen live eight times. Whenever someone asked me who I’ve seen live the most I’d have to play dumb and be like “uhhhhhh, I dunno. Probably some death metal band”. But tonight marked the ninth time I’ve seen Harms Way live and now I can say with total dignity that I’ve seen Harms Way live the most times. They weren’t as good tonight. I don’t know why? It just wasn’t clicking. I mean they were good they weren’t GOOD. I’m used to seeing them do short headlining sets but tonights seemed exceptionally short. And despite seeing them nine times now I still don’t know the titles of everything they play. The crowd were lamewads (it was an all ages show) and there were too many photographers at the front of the stage. Meh, whatever. I’ll still see them a tenth time. Harms Way1. ? 2. Human Carrying Capacity 3. Last Man 4. ? 5. Temptation 6. Law of the Land/Infestation 7. Call My Name 8. Become a Machine It was a good show but all of the bands sounded the same. 30 immolated; 16 returned Support: Cryophilic, Old Witch, Metaldian Date: Friday August 16th, 2019 Venue: Doors Taco Joint & Metal Pub in Hamilton, Ontario Last month I saw Metaldian thinking they were 30 immolated; 16 returned. At that show I thought it was strange that they (30 immolated; 16 returned) were playing in street clothes, the one guitarist was using an eight-string guitar instead of a six string and that the drummer was doing most of the vocals. It turns out Metaldian is a different band with all the same members that sounds pretty much the same and at that last show I left before 30 immolated; 16 returned even played (I went and saw Razor play a few streets over). Whatever, Metaldian are really cool too. Old Witch WAS AWESOME. It was a single guy doing electronics and black metal screaming in almost complete darkness (just a few candles). It was SO AWESOME. I saw Cryophilic at this same place almost a year ago to the day and hated them, but tonight they were awesome. Brutal Technical Death Metal that didn’t need their drummer wearing a Suffocation shirt to let the world know who their main influence is. This was 30 immolated; 16 returneds album release show. They were awesome, crazy dissonant noise. Maybe twenty people were there for them (I think the promoter even bailed) but that means only twenty people in this world are cool. It was a really good show. Usually Neurotic Entertainments shows are ass unless you’re drunk but the last two have been much more up my alley. 30 immolated; 16 returned www.facebook.com/30-immolated-16-returned-1440005762811312/Cryophilic cryophilic.bandcamp.comOld Witch oldwitch.bandcamp.com/Metaldian www.facebook.com/Metaladian-205730250223600/

Sertraline, Old Witch, Kavara Date: Sunday August 18th, 2019 Venue: Duffy’s Tavern in Toronto, Ontario Kavara were a very young death metal band. They were okay. The singer wasn’t very good at all. Ditch her and let the bass player do all the vocals and they’d have a good future ahead of them. I saw Old Witch on Friday and was blown away. So when I found out he was playing again tonight I was all in. Tonight was his last show so it’s too bad I found out about him two days before he hung it up. But he also performs as a folky dark ambient project called Moon Sunn Moon and that project is awesome too. Tonight wasn’t quite as incredible as Friday was but it was incredible. His music is free on Bandcamp, so here you go: oldwitch.bandcamp.com/Sertraline are cut from the same cloth as Deafheaven and whatnot but they didn’t turn into complete pusses, like Deafheaven did. At least they haven’t yet. They were awesome. I loved the three-guitar attack. Their CDs were only five dollars each so I bought both. Karina and her epic bosom are batting three for three the last few shows she’s booked. Too bad no one comes to her shows when she books bands like this. But I think she heard Darkthrone for the first time ever a few weeks ago and it’s opened up a whole other world of metal to her. Hopefully she hears Weregoat or Last Days of Humanity some day soon. Fingers crossed. Sertraline sertralineny.bandcamp.com/Old Witch oldwitch.bandcamp.com/Kavara kavaraofficial.bandcamp.com

Negate Life, Modern Eyes, Battlebear, Faul McCartney Date: Saturday August 24th, 2019 Venue: the Grand Gerard Theatre in Toronto, Ontario The Grand Gerard is an old (but still operational) movie theatre that the promoter works at. I think he gets to use it for free. He’s been putting on shows a lot here the last few months since another club in town called Coalition closed. This was the first time I’ve made it out to a show here. Quite frankly; it’s a dump. It’s in a crap area of town for live music and gets no foot traffic. I don’t think the bands were too happy with it either. A couple of them were from Montreal and were asking me where they could go walk around and pass out flyers for the show and I had to tell them that unless they wanted to drive fifteen minutes West they were out of luck. But one awesome thing is being that it’s a theatre there are tons of places to sit! Faul McCartney was a very young grindcore band. Their name was the best part but as their set went on they had some cool moments. The bass players tone was really good. The singer was so nervous though that I felt bad for her. Battlebear were really good once they hit their grove. Mystery Box is one minute long on album but they stretched it out to a ten-minute jam. Usually I’d hate a jam but that that song was so awesome. I only know all their song titles because there was no one there and I could hear them talking to one another and they’re pretty memorable titles. I liked them. Battlebear1. ? (I think it was called Cowards) 2. Battlebear 3. Salt & Vinegar Tourniquet 4. Grimm Hortons 5. Mystery Box 6. ? Modern Eyes were really damn good. I can’t say much more than that. They were damn good. Again, their metal parts were cool but once they locked into this almost post-rock section of one song it got really awesome. You wouldn’t think things like that would work at metal shows but they did tonight. Negate Life turned everything to eleven and were just noise and static. But it was awesome. I’m pretty sure they’re a hardcore beatdown band. They’re what my mom hears whenever she hears my music. It felt like I was watching amateur night tonight. The sound guy was also the lighting guy and help with setups and takedowns (I think he was the manager too). It was the first time I’ve heard so much banter between the band and the sound guy and he was all over the place. He took his job way too seriously and the bands were all just like “…can we play now?” He needs to take a Ritalin and to stop being such an audiophile. Not a fan of the Grand Gerard Theatre. I won’t go out of my way to go there again. It was one step above a house show. The bands were all great tonight but everything else wasn’t working. The bar was shit but the bartender was hot. If there had of been something else going on in town tonight I probably would’ve left and gone to that. Seax Support: Warsenal, Sauron, Twilight Hammer, Demontage Date: Saturday August 31st, 2019 Venue: the Hard Luck Bar in Toronto, Ontario I wanted to get there in time to catch Demontage because I caught like three seconds of them when I was walking down the stairs to another show last year and they sounded really awesome. But maybe that was another band called “Demontage” because these guys were an old school thrashy metal band and I swear the band I heard last year was death metal. They were still cool though. Their bass player really carried a lot of the songs. Demontage1. ? 2. Demontage 3. Mad Thrasher 4. Cult of the Meteor 5. Possessed Graveyard Lizards 6. ? THEN THE SINGER FROM AMMO WALKED IN! AMMO RULES! Twilight Hammer was more up my alley. They were blackened thrash. Their songs were a little too long but they did a cover of Troops of Doom, so all is well. Twilight Hammer1. Taken by the Others 2. Wrathfire 3. Orcish Steel 4. The Heretic 5. The Plague 6. Troops of Doom (Sepultura cover) 7. Flames of Toronto Sauron were pretty cool. I mean, there named after the Dark Lord of Mordor. They were more thrash metal and less black metal than the previous bands but still cool enough. I liked that their set was very short, maybe twenty-five minutes. That’s more than enough of tonights styles of metal for me. Sauron1. ? (the setlist just said “R’n’R”) 2. Praise the Witch King 3. Twisted Metal Minds 4. Conquest Through Attrition 5. Swarm from the Deep 6. Lords of Sodom and Warfare 7. Unholy Art 8. Blood for the Savage Blade I think I’ve seen Warsenal before. The name sounds familiar. They were f***ing awesome. I wonder if I’ve seen them before if I thought they were f***ing awesome then too. Did I mention they were awesome? Warsenal 1. ? (the setlist just said “Doom”) 2. ? (the setlist just said “Lords”) 3. Let Me Out 4. ? (the setlist just said “Blade”) 5. Unstoppable 6. You Better Run -. Crystal Whip (cut from the set) 7. Dying on Stage -. Minefield Game (cut from the set) 8. Forever Lost Seax were some good, fun metal. I bought their CDs, which were very easy to find as they were sitting right there on their merch table. And they were two for twenty dollars. Unlike Tool, whose new album costs seventy-five dollars and everywhere I’ve gone is sold out. So Seax > Tool. Their new album (which is the only one I’ve gotten around to listening to so far) is one of the rare cases where the album is just as good as the live performance. Maybe even better. If you like Judas Priest mixed with crossover trash you’ll like it. Seax1. Fallout 2. Killed by Speed 3. Forged by Metal 4. Bring Down the Beast 5. Nuclear Overdose 6. Rapid Fire (Judas Priest cover) 7. Born to Live Fast It was funny because so many bands shared members. The bass player from Demontage was also the bass player in Twilight Hammer, then the drummer from Twilight Hammer was also the drummer in Sauron. And since a few members of Seax couldn’t make the tour the guitarist from Warsenal is pulling double-duty. I only got the names of so many songs tonight because every band had their setlist on the stage and they used big writing, so it was easy to get pictures of them. And there were maybe thirty people at the show tops so it was easy to get to the front of the stage. This show was good. Some of the bands played a little longer than they should have. But the last two bands were especially fun party metal. Not usually my style but if I ever throw a party you’re all invited and we’re going to listen to their CDs. The only thing that sucked tonight was that Akiko never showed up. The Godfathers of British Heavy Metal XIX Featuring: Strictly Sabbath (as Black Sabbath), Painkiller (as Judas Priest), Ed Force One (as Iron Maiden) Date: Saturday September 7th, 2019 Venue: the Rockpile in Toronto, Ontario I’m really not the biggest Iron Maiden fan. I know the staples. But seeing Ed Force One made me realize how much of Iron Maiden I’ve never heard. They played eight songs and the first six I’ve never heard in my life. They were pretty cool songs though. I liked not knowing anything they played and it gave me a greater appreciation for Iron Maiden. And a great respect for the guys in Ed Force One for not playing all the “hits”, although I think any Iron Maiden fan would love to see lesser-played songs live. I loved that they had the triple guitar attack too. Ed Force One1. Moonchild 2. Purgatory 3. Revelations 4. Flight of Icarus 5. Alexander the Great 6. Wasted Years 7. The Trooper 8. Hallowed be thy Name Lately I’ve really been digging Judas Priest. I mean I’ve always liked them but lately more. So Painkiller were the reason I wanted to come out to this show. I’m probably less familiar with Judas Priests music than I am Iron Maidens. But they played the Green Manalishi (which I’ve heard the Melvins version of a million times before but the Judas Priest version never before tonight) and Turbo Lover...soooooo, I f***ing love Turbo Lover! And if you don't love Painkiller then you're not metal. Painkiller1. The Hellion/Electric Eye 2. Riding the Wind 3. Heading Out on the Highway 4. Metal Gods 5. Breaking the Law 6. Diamonds and Rust 7. Victim of Changes 8. Living After Midnight 9. The Green Manalishi (With the Two Pronged Crown) 10. Turbo Lover 11. Hell Bent for Leather 12. You’ve Got Another Thing Coming 13. Painkiller Judas Priest > Iron Maiden Black Sabbaths music I am familiar with. I’ve grown up with it and a lot of it is dead to me. But seeing that music played in a bar was so cool. I'll never see Black Sabbath in a bar and I've always dreamed of it, so I'll take Strickly Sabbath. I personally wanted to hear Zero the Hero but they stuck to the Ozzy stuff, even playing a song I’ve never heard before ( Shockwave) and the one song I’ve only heard twice before ( Dirty Woman, which I’ve heard the two times I’ve seen the real Black Sabbath twice). They were awesome. Strictly Sabbath1. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath 2. Into the Void 3. Killing Yourself to Live 4. Snowblind 5. Dirty Woman 6. Children of the Grave 7. Iron Man 8. The Wizard 9. Shockwave 10. Behind the Walls of Sleep 11. N.I.B. 12. War Pigs 13. Paranoid [encore] 14. Sweet Leaf Black Sabbath>Judas Priest>Iron Maiden But ultimately in the end Mortician >>>>>>Black Sabbath>Judas Priest>Iron Maiden Strictly Sabbath Painkiller Ed Force One

Widows Peak, Detherous, Bloodless Child, Terrorize Date: Friday September 13th, 2019 Venue: Duffy’s shit Tavern in Toronto, Ontario I missed most of Terrorizes’ set because I was helping a friend out with some electrical questions. What I did catch was not that great. Musically they were pretty GarageBand but the singer was kinda horrible. Bloodless Child were supposed to play next and were the reason I came out to this show but I found out as I was paying at the door that they couldn’t make the show. So that sucked. Detherous were much better than Terrorize. They were death-thrash or whatever. Widows Peak was pretty cool. They were like gore-grindish and the singer had a good stage presence, despite singing on the floor. He had good floor presence. This show sucked but it was fun though because Akiko was there and she was dressed really hot. Boris Support: Uniform Date: Saturday September 14th, 2019 Venue: Lee's Palace in Toronto, Ontario I saw the Uniform on their collaboration tour with the Body last November. They were better on their own tonight. Some really killer riffs. But I couldn’t get passed how much their drummer looked like a younger Shawn Michaels (i.e. when he had hair). I’ve been meaning to check more Boris out. They play Toronto a lot and have released something like six hundred albums and splits but I’ve only ever heard Amplifier Worship and one other song called Luna, which I really liked. They were good but I was just not feeling it today. So I grabbed a cab and went to check Die Choking out down the street at Duffy’s shit Tavern. Die Choking, Bandit, Bleeding Out, Peace Offering Date: Saturday September 14th, 2019 Venue: Duffy’s Shit Tavern I got there in time to check out some band called Bandit. They were probably the craziest band I’ve seen live. Not the crowd but the band themselves. Wow. I got a charley horse. Then I saw some girls boobs. Die Choking was incredible. Totally worth leaving Boris early for. Check that band (Die Choking) out, pleeb. It was good to see some grindcore. It was fun seeing Duffy’s shit Tavern getting torn to shreds too. Agnostic Front Support: Prong, Northern Hit Squad, Peace Talks Date: Friday September 27th, 2019 Venue: the Hard Luck Bar in Toronto, Ontario I missed Peace Talks and showed up just after Northern Hit Squad had started. They were really good old-school hardcore. Nothing memorable but good for the time they were on stage. Prong were the reason I came out to this show. I’ve listened to a bit of their 1990’s stuff (basically Cleansing and Rude Awakening) but I wanted to see them live anyway. I didn’t even realize that this year marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of Cleansing so they drew heavily from that album, which was awesome. Sadly they played nothing from Rude Awakening but thankfully they only played three post-2000 songs. They were really awesome and the one-two of Whose Fist Is It Anyway? and Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck was incredible. It was kinda funny that they followed that up and closed their set with a new song no one knew. Prong1. Unconditional 2. Beg to Differ 3. Cut-Life 4. Ultimate Authority 5. Broken Peace 6. Cut and Dry 7. Another Worldly Device 8. Whose Fist Is It Anyway? 9. Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck 10. However It May End I went near the back for Agnostic Front because it was too packed at the venue and too warm. I like them but the sound back there is incredibly shit so I bailed after a few songs. Prong

Bloodletting Tour 2019 Featuring: Disentomb, Visceral Disgorge, Signs of the Swarm, Contimuum, Organectomy, Mental Cruelty, Kavara, Wraith Eternal Date: Saturday September 28th, 2019 Venue: the Rockpile in Toronto, Ontario I missed Mental Cruelty, Kavara and Wraith Eternal, and caught the last song of Organectomy. They were fine. Weregoat DID NOT play. That sucked. The first full set I caught was Continuum. They’re a little more technical than my taste but they were cool. The next guys Signs of the Swarm were beatdown deathcore. It was okay. They got ninjas in the pit and that’s something I’m not used to at death metal shows. Visceral Disgorge were much more up my alley. They were a brutal death metal band but they didn’t water down their sound with too many notes and shit. Disentombed were the best band I’ve seen all year...well, maybe not. But they were the best band I’ve seen this week...maybe not that either, Prong were awesome last night. Disentombed were awesome though! The crowd at this show was so f***ing young. That’s the only humorous quip I can muster up to close out this one.
