An underrated aspect of the deal is that AEW will use B/R live for ppvs

Making it real! This is the f***ing weirdest picture. Screw it, let’s do that NBA on TNT crossover, why the hell not? Sir Charles' Court: The Lucha Bros, Allie & PAC.

Jericho, still working it. I still love this half-shoot, half-kayfabe delusional goof. 😁

I love how none of this would be happening if Vince hadn't been so insistent on f***ing Stardust. This will always be my favorite detail of all this. If Vince and Tri would've just let Cody be himself and maybe give him a little push, he'd have stayed. Now he has become an integral part of getting a rival company onto a major cable network.

I thought I read that Cody was the one that wanted to stay as Starrdust

Stardust was a good character. Cody was brilliant in the role. The problem is that WWE undermined their own character by having the announcers mock him for being a weirdo rather than a legit threat.

Even if you hate Omega or the Bucks or Cody every wrestling fan should hope this is a big success.
Even Cornette who hates the bucks and Omega said he wants AEW to do well because Pro Wrestling works best when there is legit competition.

An underrated aspect of the deal is that AEW will use B/R live for ppvs And considering how they pricing is structured and the other stuff you get with it, it’s a really cool thing to have backing you.

I thought I read that Cody was the one that wanted to stay as Starrdust He liked it initially and he wanted to finish up what he started with Stephen Amell, but once it became clear to him they just wanted him to be a knock off version of his brother he wanted to do something else

Just hoping Double or Nothing won’t be more than $20 through that. Otherwise, it’s tough to justify a purchase.

Otherwise, it’s tough to justify a purchase. I’d need to know what the average price of events are on that service depending on subscription or how much it costs per game which I can’t check for obvious reasons.

I’m eager to see the timeslot they get. I’m not sure where it would be best positioned. I don’t really like Tuesday Night, but it will be the only weeknight that wouldn’t be head to head with WWE after the Smackdown move. EDIT: Forgot about Thursday, but that would be head to head with Football in the fall. It has to be Wednesday. Monday and Fridays are out for obvious reasons. Thursday is NBA night. Tuesdays are also NBA night once it gets into late January-early February. Makes no sense for them start on Tuesday and them jump them around once NBA on Tuesdays start. There's also March Madness, which would push them off TNT for about 2-3 weeks. Wednesday is probably the cleanest night for them.

I was thinking of ordering Double or Nothing through ITV Box Office - then I realised I don’t want to give ITV any of my money.

TBS has baseball playoffs and college basketball March Madness stuff so it was going to get preempted no matter which channel they were on

Wednesday is also safe from March Madness as well as they mostly play Thursday-Sunday. The only Wednesday is the First Four and that’s on TruTV. They probably would squash NXT in first run viewership being on TNT instead of the network.

They would be nuts to put it on Monday and especially Tuesday or Thursday for the reasons you listed with the NBA on TNT.

I wonder if they can promote it more UFC style where there’s just a. handful of matches being promoted a couple weeks in advance. I’d just love to watch a match that seems to mean something
