The Orville is being moved to Hulu for its third season. Really? What happened? I wonder whose decision this was... I'd probably also wonder if this meant MacFarlane and Fox were having troubles and he wanted to take his programs elsewhere...but Family Guy is coming back on Fox. So maybe it's just a case of the network only wanting the most popular of his shows.

Wonder if they're ending/burying Empire behind This is Us and Black-ish to silently end it due to certain recent events? And speaking of burying... Uh oh, American Housewife in Friday Death Slot. Fear this may be it for it as such, and ABC - Modern - AHW = no more me being an ABC guy, which was fading away since The Middle died. I'll probably drop in for most of the game shows, but that's it. Empire is going to get curb stomped in the ratings by The Black-Ish hour, This is us and whatever CBS is scheduling for Tuesday night at 9:00 PM, I predict that due to low ratings on it's new Tuesday night slot, Empire is burned-off on sundays subject to sports overrun (especially February-May where new episodes are JIP'd due to NASCAR OVERRUN) and that Empire's final episode is subject to NASCAR overrun I think that's the idea. I know he's not going to be on this season, but the bad press over the incident and all? Probably best all around to silently end the show. Wonder if American Housewife experienced anyone else being turned off when they started custom making episodes to fit in the fact that the daughter is now recording pop albums (the finale was a MUSICAL, for god's sake!) That inspired my "second career ruined shows or movies" thread that went off the rails.

A little late, but let's put the Peeps in the chili, since everyone's all sad.

This upcoming season will be the last for the Will & Grace revival. Thank God. I'm sorry, but I facepalmed throughout the first episode of the revival and the ending had me go, "they're behind on the times". What was once a pioneer in its genre turned into a dinosaur. So... The Simpsons, essentially.

Calling it now, Bob <3's Abishola lasts half a season. Yeah, I mean, it certainly looks like the worst looking new show of the season. It's clear that they're trying to recapture the magic from Mike & Molly (and not just because Mike stars in this one as well). Actually 'half a season' might even be a charitable goal, since, almost every year, at least one show doesn't make it past the 6 episode mark before the network no longer <3's it.

How has BH90210 done in the ratings? I'm actually enjoying it. LOL

I think Friday partner Fresh Off The Boat will be cancelled before American Housewife. FotB is older and a particular cast member made a point in how much she did not like the show coming back. Also AH has stronger ratings compared to FotB. After this season, FotB gets cancelled, AH renewed, but if it's still on Friday, fans should be on notice. Speaking of The Middle, I can't believe there are two Black-ish spinoffs and I can't get spinoff of Sue Sue in the City. Both The Middle and Parks & Recreation had done a job depicting the awkwardness of Indiana, although The Middle felt more authentic. Seeing Sue Sue living in a slightly exaggerated Indianapolis would have been a manageable feat. And I got Bob Assahola or whatever in the dead pool. Haven't seen an obvious dud in years.

Unless there is an actual reason of concern, my guess is that Fox/Disney wanted to bolster up Hulu now that Disney bought Comcast's part of Hulu & owns it all now?

Could it possibly be the show cost a bunch and ratings weren't that high? I have no clue what the ratings are for Orville. But the 2 times I watched it the show looked like it had a big budget.

Could it possibly be the show cost a bunch and ratings weren't that high? I have no clue what the ratings are for Orville. But the 2 times I watched it the show looked like it had a big budget. Ratings averaged around 6.5 million viewers per episode for the first season (including DVR numbers) while the second season averaged around 5.25 million. Not exactly a catastrophic drop, but enough to raise a few eyebrows amongst the bean counters.

There are 2 shows that idk about especially: "Emergence" & "Evil". Both are shows with the 100% feel of all the other cop/crime detective shows in prime-time nowadays, but they both contain a very supernatural twist. So, somehow trying to be realistically real, but with a large fantasy element to it. Basically:

Emergence wasn't filmed far from me. Keyport, NJ for instance.

Watched All Rise and Bluff City Law. Bluff City Law is money for me because I am a Jimmy Smits fan. All Rise was ok. It took me half the show to realize the judge was from Luke Cage.

I have Prodigal Son on the DVR. Anyone watch that? I thought it was alright, but after Whiskey Tango came and got cancelled, I think I'll wait to see a few more episodes before saying I like it.
