Rocco Rock vs Johnny Grunge was the dark match for the first Raw. That seems so weird. Grunge apparently never improved. He was ass in the ring.

Sabu in 1993...imagine if that happened. I would think it be a lot of Sabu in WCW in 95. He was so out of place.

Confirming my hunch of hearing that name before, Killer Karl Wallace = PCO!! It sounds like a play on Killer Kawolski to me. My first thought was Killer Karl Kox and Killer Karl Crupp.

Sabu in 1993...imagine if that happened. He gets a Usenet account and says "Andre, Kerry, and Dino...if death comes in threes I guess I'm safe LOL.".

Just reading through some '93 Observers unrelated to this--Sabu had no real intention of signing with the WWF even when he was offered a deal. He felt loyalty to FMW for giving him his big break in Japan and employing his uncle, and really only tried out because it was a payday for him (and for the Sheik as a booking fee).

It's actually really interesting to see the number of future ECW stars that the WWF gave try-outs to this year. Both Public Enemy, The Tazmaniac, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Nova. Wonder if anybody backstage regrets passing up on so many of them.
