Why would you say that? He has a history of violence regarding this woman and that recording does not strike me as though that history is completely behind him. Those are the kind of situations that seem to be the prime breeding grounds for Belcher-like situations. Luckily they are no longer together. She is still the mother of his child, so not dealing with her isn't an option.

There is just so, so much utterly wrong with this. No matter what the evidence is, no matter what is the real situation, no one cares. We live in outrage society, people believe what was reported in March even though much of that has proven to be false, no one wants to alter their opinion, nothing will change. The Chiefs will be hated this year, in road games they will be the villain, I know this, I'm sure they do too... That is my simple point with the situation. *sigh* Of course there is outrage to be had. Hill has a criminal CONVICTION for battery by strangulation. He, as a fact of law, has been proven to have strangled this same woman while she was pregnant. That is not opinion; that is indisputable FACT. Being caught on video threatening the very same woman he was convicted of abusing in the past, regardless of any potential context, is obscenely problematic. Acting like everything is a-okay is patently wrong.

The plea they offered him, was to good to pass up, anyone in his situation even if they were innocent would have taken it. No jail time, probation with the addition of if he does what they ask it is completely expunged from his record, which it has been. That is slightly different than just going conviction.

"We really don't want to expand the team roster. But we still want that extra money regular season games provide." Holy shit.

With the way everyone across the NFL fan spectrum is reacting to this well, I kind of find it funny. The Chiefs are now the villain in the NFL, and that's fine by me. We'll be the bad guys and I'm good with that. The bad guys that are coming for that damn Superbowl and to put an end to the Patriots. As long as Andy Reid is coaching, y'all ain't winning jack.

How many people plead guilty to things they didn't do? You have a side here and you aren't going to move, just like most of the media did, now everyone has egg on their face.

Guy, Hill is a piece of shit. You can still like the Chiefs, and want them to win it all but you're choosing a weird hill to die on. Hell you can renounce the player and still support the team, they're not gonna get rid of him so you can keep some moral integrity.

Packers president Mark Murphy says that they really tried to get Khali Mack and thinks the main reason they sent him to Chicago was because they thought they would get a better draft pick with the Bears.

A good football player gets to play and help his team possibly win something. That's all that matters. Mecca, be honest; if the NFL had given him some form of suspension (say, 4 games), would you have been livid? Because it's pretty obvious you would have been pissed if they did the unthinkable and disciplined someone based upon domestic issues.

A four game suspension, or more might have been the best thing for Hill. He’s going to have to learn at some point and I’m sure he’ll get another chance down the road when he inevitably winds up beating up a woman or a pre schooler again.

Packers president Mark Murphy says that they really tried to get Khali Mack and thinks the main reason they sent him to Chicago was because they thought they would get a better draft pick with the Bears. I mean, we had two first rounders to spare, but we already gave Rodgers his compensation for carrying the team on his back and really wouldn't have been able to afford Mack. Which, combined with throwing around a ton of money to fix the defense this offseason and a second straight losing season making the fanbase less willing to buy shit or go to the team HoF, meant the Packers BARELY turned a profit this past fiscal year.

The Miami Dolphins have waived DT Kendrick Norton with a non-football injury designation. While he will no longer be on the roster, he will get paid his full salary to add to his medical bills being paid for

While he will no longer be on the roster, he will get paid his full salary to add to his medical bills being paid for I mean, that is realistically the best he could hope for outside of being offered some non-playing position with the team (which I suspect the team probably discussed with him).
