I think Shurmur's a goner, but Gase is lasting at least another year. I'm usually not a fan of firing first year head coaches. Though if Cleveland wants to make an exception with Freddie Kitchens, I wouldn't blame them. I'd peg Adam Gase's firing as more of a sure thing than Shurmur. Adam Gase won the power struggle with Mike Maccagnan earlier this year and rewarded the Jets' faith in him by producing one of the single worst offensive outputs in league history, despite all of the claims of him being an offensive whiz kid. Now the Jets have Joe Douglas as general manager, who is likely to want a head coach that he hired rather than one he inherited. Pat Shurmur, meanwhile, I could see sticking around in New York for at least one more year because the 2020 Giants probably aren't going to be a lot better than the 2019 edition and what head coaching candidates will be out there that will be far superior to Shurmur? Ron Rivera is the only current candidate and maybe Jim Harbaugh and Lincoln Riley if they decided to leave college for the pros. Other than that, they're better suited sucking under Shurmur for one more year and then finding the right candidate in 2021 when the Giants (presumably) are ready to turn the corner.

Cool. Hope he sticks with his rehabilitation this time. Learn to control his persistent anger problem and ego problem, that was his main issues with why he couldn't function in any team environment over the past 2 years or so. (Also he should hope he doesn't get any more accusers. That was another thing hampering him. )

Father Time is heading to the IR. Apparently he had been fighting a knee injury all season and finally has to concede to yet another surgery.

Lmao at OBJ already burning his bridge in Cleveland. This experiment sure has worked out!

I'm not surprised. It's not like OBJ signed with Cleveland in Free Agency or anything. And the team's been a dumpster fire, and Cleveland's a miserable city to be in if you're not winning.

The Colts put both Father Time and rookie WR Parris Campbell on the IR. This gives them 13 players currently on the IR (not including those who were waive/injured with settlements). I wonder if they will try to bring back one of their previously waived players on other teams' practice squad. A reunion with Jordan Veasy, Penny Hart, or even Bug Howard sounds like a great opportunity in both directions.

Sherman and Dee Ford out for a few weeks. Richburg out for the year.
Damn injuries are going to sink the Niners.

Stop me if you've heard this before, but the NFL is investigating the Patriots for cheating. They got busted video taping the Bengals. Yes. They are willing to cheat to defeat the mighty Cincinnati Bungles.

Statement from the Patriots: This could be big trouble if true. Even if the taping was accidental the Patriots will probably not get the benefit of the doubt. They could lose their first round pick in 2020 (and they already traded away their second rounder for Sanu). Depending on what else comes up Belichick could get suspended too. Even if this was an innocent mistake the Patriots have to be extra careful with anything involving cameras. They had to make double sure they had all thier ducks in a row. And if it was intentional then that's just plan stupid. Dammit. That's one of those things similar to "institutional control" in college sports, where a head coach gets some blame for what assistant coaches or players did wrong. Even without being directly involved in such wrong actions, they should've monitored such actions away from ever happening with their team, according to NCAA. So yeah, it would fall upon the entire team if anyone connected to the team record stuff they shouldn't have.

I mean, it’s not a particularly egregious offense, but they no longer get the benefit of doubt for a damned reason. I see a fine and draft pick being taken away.
