Man, with all the talent they assembled in the off-season, I don't know who possibly could have envisioned this Browns season collapsing so suddenly? Wait a second... Baker Mayfield obviously learned nothing from Jalen Ramsey putting his foot in his mouth last summer, then getting embarrassed on an almost routine basis during the 2018 season. Although it's not as foolish as Ramsey calling out seemingly every quarterback in the league and then getting trashed by Josh Allen of all people, Mayfield should learn that very little positive comes from putting someone else's name in your mouth. There's a lot going on that leads me to believe the Browns are in for a rude awakening this season. They're everyone's darlings, everyone's blowing smoke straight up their collective keesters, and they've done very little to warrant it. Meanwhile, their division has proven winners like Baltimore and Pittsburgh just sort of waiting in the weeds while everyone crowns Cleveland. As I've said in the past, if the Browns get off to a cold start, something like 1-3, the wheels could come off this thing in a hurry. There's a lot of personalities on that team that could clash quickly if things go south. Browns fans and the media in Cleveland have been desperate for a winner since the franchise returned in 1999 and this appears to be the closest thing to a winner that the Browns have ever had, so if things start off poorly, there's going to be a lot of loud voices wondering what's going wrong. As I've said, I could see the Browns winning 11 games and the North division. But if they start something like 0-2 or 0-3, I could just as easily see it spiraling out of control and the team finishing something like 7-9. They've got talent for days but this is the first time they've all been put together as a pre-ordained winner, and as we saw best with the 2011 Eagles, you don't automatically advance to the Super Bowl just because you won the off-season. Earlier this off-season, I was on board with the Browns as a sneaky pick to win the AFC North. I thought they were an improving team that made a lot of savvy moves and on top of that, I felt like Pittsburgh and Baltimore both took a bit of a step back, either due to losing key players or just age starting to catch up to them. But I feel like there's been entirely too much hype foisted on the Browns for the past few months (really ever since the Odell Beckham Jr. trade) and it feels like the crushing weight of expectations might potentially be too heavy of a burden for them. This is a team that went 7-8-1 last year and showed tremendous signs of improvement, but the next hurdle - the one from also-ran to playoff contender - is the hardest to clear. I could easily see them winning the division just as much as I could see them pulling a 2011 Eagles (aka "The Dream Team") and finishing .500 or worse. Things rarely pan out for the champions of the off-season. My dude, you were the first one I thought of watching the game last night. Still plenty of time left, but you might wanna get ready to take your victory lap.

I have little respect for the maturity of that team based on everything I have seen over the last couple of years and Baker Mayfield may very well be the worst part of that. Apparently last night he refused to shake hands with 49ers players before the game, which just made them more amped to humble his ass. Edit: That was what Sherman said. Video suggests otherwise, so now he says he was curt at the coin flip.

Like, does he think there's no cameras around during the coin toss before a nationally-televised game? I mean, he's got to have a reason to have just outright lied about this.

The way I see it, he walked it back after he realized there was video evidence calling him on his bulls***t.

Was just thinking about the Iron Shiek making Baker Mayfield humble (among other things I can't repeat here), as this immaturity is gonna make Cleveland a 4-12 team.

And the Steelers spent today fighting each other at practice. Which does not bode well for the Chargers game, or for Tree wanting avoid doing Days Of Our Steelers next week as well.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B3cp7cbHA1k Bet you it was Richard Sherman who said it lol But yeah, he has rubbed people the wrong way. I like his confidence and think Browns need that BUT he talks way too much. You can't pull the we are favorites card and then we have haters card too. Best thing he can do is keep grinding and not talking because with the way you have played this year, you don't deserve to clap back at no one

Baker was a stud at OU, but everything that's been said about him is true. Dude has one read, then he panics, runs to the right, and throws up fadeaway jumpers and hopes for the best.
Everybody saw this coming. The Browns with all their talent this year would either get their shit together or implode. And right now, it looks like Baker and Odell are looking like Hulk Hogan and Macho Man.
