Cam Newton has been placed on IR, officially ending his season. Cam Newton is a cautionary tale when it comes to willingly taking too much of a beating. Someone should have a chat with Mahomes Lamar Jackson too.

Cam Newton has been placed on IR, officially ending his season. It's probably for the best. Andrew Luck needed over a full year to recover and even that led him to be wary of lingering injuries.

Cam will play again but I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s “done”. He’s not a good enough passer to compete without the threat of taking off.
Same thing will probably happen to Lamar Jackson.
Mahomes might be a different story I think he’s got the goods to survive with his arm

Cam as an Elite player is done but someone is going to take that chance on him still being good enough to lead a team but just not as the primary guy to be the reason you win
Panthers will move on most likely as it will save them $19 mill to cut him on the last year of his deal. Chicago will take a chance on him
Cam was durable before this season but the problem is the injuries on his body has been apparent. Also add on the fact his body language and leadership has always been questionable so with the loss of ability to run, he better hope his arm had enough time to heal with a year off

I thought they'd go 8-8 or 9-7(granted...they still can, but I don't think they will). Their great defense & running game has been a HUGE factor for this, Jimmy G just has to play 'good enough'...though games like last week are more than welcome.

However, when you look at that list, the Broncos have a quarterback they'd like to give a shot next season (Drew Lock), the Dolphins are actively trying to lose, the Jaguars gave Nick Foles a fat contract, the Redskins have Dwyane Haskins Jr., and the Steelers are probably waiting on the health of Ben Roethlisberger. Realistically, Cam Newton has five teams he could play for in 2020: the Panthers and the Bears, Bengals, Buccaneers, and Titans.

Bears and Bucs I think are the go to ones Bucs is an automatic job but Bears he would have to fight for it unless they are fully done with Mitch

I don't think the Bears are ready to completely give up on Mitch --- if only because of all that they traded to move up 1 spot to draft him:
a 1 and 3 2nd rounders

And if Ryan Pace isn't willing to look for an upgrade at QB, he's going to be fired by the end of next season.

I was like “.500 would be great this year!” Look at them now! I knew Bosa would be good, I didn’t realize how much me would mean to the defense as a whole!

Also add on the fact his body language and leadership has always been questionable so with the loss of ability to run, he better hope his arm had enough time to heal with a year off When he has to rely on staying in the pocket and throwing, Newton is average at best. Without his ability to run, he's just another guy

Speaking of the Redskins, I took this picture at work today because I think it perfectly captures how their season is going this year (Spoiled for size): {Spoiler}
