Sucks for A Boy and His Dinosaur. As good as the Lucha Bros. are as a team, I'm more interested in seeing them as singles wrestlers in AEW, especially if Pentagon can get a solo theme that's similar to the one he had in LU.

Yeah, I am hoping that we'll see both guys in singles action before too long, though I'm thinking they or the Bucks will be dealing with LAX, so it'll be a bit.

You'd also think Evans & Angelico might cost them since they got voted in over them
Good interview from Riho

I want A Boy & His Dinosaur to win the tag tournament (with The Bucks as runner-ups) so they'll have lots of time next year as singles stars. Luchasaurus (I didn't even know the guy before AEW...) has surpassed Pentagon as the #1 masked wrestler in this promotion, he's going to be world champion somewhere in '20-'21: dethroning then champion, MJF. ~!

The brackets are interesting in that we could end up with two All Out rematches in the semis, but I don't think that's actually what we'll get, but I'm not sure which team would drop to make that not be the case.

Probably Santana and Ortiz. I was thinking it’d be them before their run in at All Out. I kinda think it’ll be someone making their debut.

I don't think AEW really needs another team though, because the seven in the tournament plus Evans & Angelico and the former LAX means they already have nine teams which is plenty for a two hour show for now until they run through some of the matches. Plus, this gives Santana and Ortiz something to do in the early shows since they aren't in the tournament, and they did attack the Young Bucks at All Out, so they can follow up on that by having them as Jericho's partners.

On the flip side, I don't see the harm of adding another team, especially since there is a need for gaps to be filled for when people are eliminated and the like. I might agree that there might not be as much for another heel team but that's just my take.

It's also possible that, if it ISN'T LAX (or Ex-LAX?), then it could be some singles guys, probably PAC and a second heel, though I am not sure who it'd be. Maybe Shawn Spears? But that probably would be treated as a letdown, as would PAC to a lesser extent. You also have the question of why it'd be kept quiet.
In any case, I am actually kind of looking forward to seeing Jericho cross up with the Bucks. I could see him Lion Tamer-ing one of them for the win, or nailing a Judas Effect. Then again, they might keep the Kenny meltdown going and have him eat the pin, but he's probably going to be upset even if it's not his shoulders on the mat or the one tapping out, and the Bucks have only lost once so far, so they could pretty easily afford it. Could see Jericho making a Buck tap or pinning them, all while Omega's forced to watch but held back by the mystery partners. That'd drive him nuts.

Riho is like if a japanese idol singer decided to step into the ring. I think they should lean more into her cute and dainty look, and give her some princess gimmick. Like a wrestling Disney princess. In the match to crown the women's champion, I think theyre gonna go with Nyla. Riho seems more like somebody they need to build up.

Well, they do also have Hikaru doing the "magical girl" gimmick, so there might be too much overlap there. I did definitely like this promo bit, but I feel like Nyla's who they ought to go with. If I was flipping channels, Nyla would be more likely to make me stop and say, "Huh, so what's her deal?" Not saying Riho wouldn't stand out, too, and I'd gladly have either of them as the first champion, but it's not quite the same commanding presence. Nyla feels like she'd be a really exciting start for the division.

Riho is more dainty and frilly. Going full princess would go even further away from Yuka's territory. I don't know, maybe it's because I can envision Riho sipping tea before matches. And yeah, Nyla does stand out more. A long with the fact that Aew has invested more time on her than with Riho. Riho still needs some more development both as a performer and with on screen time.

Right, I meant Yuka. Sorry, late night here, bit frazzled. True, plus I imagine they'll be doing a lot of media, this early on, and Nyla can speak English, so that's a pretty significant advantage.

Personally hope Lucha Bros and Bucks get bumped fairly early on. One of them can make it to the semi's, but I'd ideally have them both too banged up from the ladder match physically and mentally to get the job done.
Also you know, promoting newer and lesser known teams so that there isn't a huge gulf between those two teams and the rest of the division.
