I'm glad he's happy now and all, but jesus some of these promos are a bit naff. Amazon Prime for head trauma? I think he pulls it off. It helps that it doesn't feel like he's asking for our validation, or trying to be ironic about it, so it works. I mean, let's put it this way. One of the best promos in wrestling history looked like a bus driver and sounded like the black lady from Tom and Jerry cartoons, and he made people believe he was authentic, so he could get away with it.

I think that's the thing. I don't buy it as authentic. He feels like a sub-par actor doing an overwritten monologue. Just feels a bit forced. Like I said though, I don't begrudge him the success he's having, so good luck to him.

Loved that Janella promo. Really think he can be a big big deal if given free reign like this.

Great intro for Darby Allin as well. Really gets the character across.
Said it before but the production values and how much storyline they get across on these clips is incredible.

Janella promo was great and while I am a tad tired of the WWE references it made sense in this case
Women's match is going to be great
Shawn Spears vignette was fun and made me want to watch more of his stuff
Darby Allin vignette as absolutely phenomenal and now I'm really looking forward to his match with Cody. The ability to get over characters and matches with just a few short segments has been great so far.

Did not know Allin had that kind of promo skill, kid is gonna go far if he can keep stuff like that vignette up.

Did not know Allin had that kind of promo skill, kid is gonna go far if he can keep stuff like that vignette up. I’m unfamiliar with the guy, but a lot of that could be the production of the video. I hope I’m wrong! Cause man I’m digging Allin. Like a lot. Real cool marketable vibe. And that characters got room to grow. Majorly dig it. The Joey promo was stellar stuff. And I’m happy and stoked for Spears but I do wonder about his capacity and Cody’s take on it was probably spot on.

And I’m happy and stoked for Spears but I do wonder about his capacity and Cody’s take on it was probably spot on. That was something I really liked about the video, Cody's response to the promo is both accurate (in the way he should/will be used) and acts as a jumping in point for Spears to feud with Cody to establish himself and get some credibility/heat. A simple reaction shot from the office sets up several ways in which the company can benefit. They are really good at doing less is more right now, and I hope that keeps up once TV starts.

I'm glad he's happy now and all, but jesus some of these promos are a bit naff. Amazon Prime for head trauma? It's weird because Moxley has had this goofy quality to him pretty much since day one, but he hits the 'killer' mark so often that I don't really care when he says something dumb. I hope at some point he makes peace with the thought that some of the goofiness really is him, and it wasn't 100% just VKM wanting him to look like a moron (though, yes, it was probably about ~85% that) He's probably not going to get to that "ice cold, murderous mother***er" place that I get the impression he seems to think he wants to be at.

I think Mox has even said he didnt mind comedy buy as soon as the office finds out you have good comedic timing they want you to do nothing but slapstick comedy which was his issue

I mean his interview after the Shota match at Dominion was almost all comedy so, I don't think that is much of a problem.

Moxley said in the Jericho interview that he wanted to be John McClane and that Vince, if he smells comedic timing, wanted him to be Jerry Lewis.

Moxley (poorly) sang "Sweet Caroline" at a show when he was in the middle of his first indy run. He does the goofy really well and does it without making him any less of a badass.

He was also insanely drunk as that was a Drunken Death Match. Ian Rotten insisted that Mox get as drunk as possible before the match and then got mad with how goofy he was being

(language warning for drunk Mox.) in summation, drunken deathmatch Moxley is hilarious.

Episode 03 - rundown.
- Brandi as always a wonderful public relations face for. - title unveiling at All Out, wondering who will present it, what would be a good Bret Hart/Ric Flair for women's wrestling? How are Lita and Trish Stratus' relationship/contracts with the fed? Or maybe someone like Portia Perez or Allison Danger. - AUSTIN CREED B-Roll Still! - Jabailey managed to do a pretty solid job of selling his match with Michael Nakazawa - Daniels promo, hell yeah. - A wonderful introduction to Private Party. It's cool to know that they are Amazing Red students. I really hope that Best Friends and SCU get similar promo intro times, obviously not the same thing since Chuck Taylor is the greatest wrestler on the planet and SCU are pretty big mainstays on Being the Elite, but a serious promo/introduction.

I'd say someone like Madusa being the unveiler for it.
No way after Bret does WWE let a big name appear on AEW again

They so such a good job at making their wrestlers likable. WWE could do that too (look at their Network specials), I just wish they showed them on television.
