Just saw on a news story, Big Daddy Meltz hasn't rated any main roster match 5 stars since 2011 (assuming Punk/Cena but not sure) so, curious for the FAN perspective. What matches (no NXT) since then would you have given 5 stars?
Just off the top of my head
Cena vs Bryan Summerslam 2013
Bryan/Orton/Batista - WM30
Cena/Lesnar/Rollins- RR 2015

Gargano/Cole was easily 5 stars IMO
Edit: Nevermind. Main roster... The Cena/AJ match at Rumble 2017 was good. Also Rollins/AJ

I would've also included Bryan vs Triple H and Bryan vs Kofi, but hey.

I would've also included Bryan vs Triple H and Bryan vs Kofi, but hey. Beginning to think this Danielson kid is pretty decent at the pro wrestling.

Punk vs. Lesnar - SummerSlam 2013 Bryan vs. Cena - SummerSlam 2013 Bryan vs. Kofi - WrestleMania 35
Those are the ones, right now, that I'd give 5 stars to. Bryan vs. HHH at WM 30 could also very well be anther one, I should watch that again.

That Punk/Cena match from RAW was phenomenal. Definitely one of the best main roster matches in the last decade.

The star rating system is silly with its quarters and whatnot.

How the f*** is Kofi/DB on there
Hell, Reigns/Lesnar with the surprise factor of Rollins at Mania can be argued to be a 5

Shield Vs Wyatt's.
Probably a fair few other shield matches too.

The star rating system is silly with its quarters and whatnot. Any numerical value system for critiquing something is worthless. Without even getting into subjectivity and taste and all that, a 3/5 or a 6/10 match doesn't mean anything because you can only judge them against the rating of other matches. A 3 star match would have to be better than literally half of all matches the critic has ever seen. Nobody can remember that many matches much less judge them off-handedly against eachother like that. So they're all judged in a vaccuum and the numbers become meaningless.

If you just treat it as "The extent to which I would recommend this match to another person", then it all works out.
My general rule of thumb would be that a 4*+ match is one you should make a serious effort to watch.

It was so awesome I watched it again immediately after watching it the first time haha.
