Holy shit, I am all in on this. Kills me that they're including Snatcher on this, but only in an untranslated version. Damnit.

Ive read through this whole thread and don’t remember a god damn one of any the games ya’ll talking about.
Just checked the official list. R-Type sounds familiar as does Space Harrier, and of course the Bomberman games but other than that I don’t recognize any of them.
None of my friends ever had a turbo graffx and I may have only ever picked up a controller at a Funcoland or something for a kids birthday party.
I always thought the TurboGraffx was like the CDi or Jaguar or any other of those systems that bombed.
Guess I was wrong.

Will the Japanese games be translated? Nope. Only the American games well be in english while the Japanese games well be untranslated. What a farce.

The system was kind of a flop here compare to SNES, NES and Genesis but was a success over in japan. It gain some sort of cult following over the year for being a hidden gem system.

There are probably partially translated roms online they could swipe from. I played a ton of translated Japanese games back when I emulated snes games all the time.

Bummer. I had really hoped it would have the TV Sports games: Basketball, Football and Hockey. TV Sports Hockey had some great fighting.

You're actually suggesting that Konami use fan translations? That would open up a whole can of worms that no company would like to open. Besides, the majority of the Japan titles on this collection you don't need to know Japanese to enjoy. Regarding the list of games, it seems redundant to have both the Japan/US versions of game. It does have some great titles though. Air Zonk. Lords of Thunder (dat soundtrack). Both Neutopias. Rondo of Blood. Sapphire (which is crazy expensive these days). One glaring omission though... Hmmm...no Legendary Axe II, but it does have Gradius I and II and Salamander (aka Life Force). Decisions, decisions...

I think some people are going to get their first taste of Cho Aniki & Ai Cho Aniki for the first time and go "WTF?!" before quitting. Granted, Cho Aniki has always been... out there as a rail shooter (I mean, we're dealing with games featuring muscular dudes in speedos and the plot has revolved around bodybuilders invading other galaxies), but people will miss out on a killer soundtrack and a decent challenge.

Will be a nice way to introduce some younger friends of mine to the TG16. I was lucky when the tg 16 was a current system had 2 other friends that had them. 1 of them also had the Turbo CD add on. So,once I got a Turbo CD,we would trade games.
What was the name of the wrestling game for the TG16? The one that was 4 or 5 players at once.

Battle Royale is the game you are thinking of.
But the console also was the home of the first 3 Fire Pros, and there was one on Turbo CD too.
