There is an obscene amount of talent on the roster. And when allowed put on some great matches. But all matches seem formulaic. The whole “WWE STYLE” while allowing guys who normally wouldn’t have great matches he ability to do so I think limits some other guys. That and the fact matches mean absolutely nothing and there’s no reason to invest in them The “best pro wrestling on the planet” means squat if its surrounded by an overwhelming sea of crap.

It is the best pro wrestling on the planet! So they reuse it for every single match! See,it all makes sense.

Bullshit. Bitching at fans on Twitter isn't leadership. If he seriously wants to lead, he needs to quit being a yes-man and get in Vince's ear and demand the wholesale changes that his beloved company has been desperately needing. Furthermore, if Seth Rollins seriously thinks that the second half of Stomping Grounds was "great wrestling"...then he is completely out of his mind. He’s not going after fans. He’s sticking up for his roster and giving them props for a good show. Only sticking it to news sites that continue to pile on the hate train. Pride in your work and your co workers is not a bad thing. Would you seriously prefer if he was out there as the face champion of the main brand saying “Gee our show stinks. AEW is so much better. Wish I was there! #Eatmybutt” I agree with you 100 percent. I dunno why people are assuming hes attacking the fans. Hes just sticking up for people that bust their butts in the back. Never once did he mention about storylines or writing.

Bigging up and defending your co-workers is one thing, but then there's this tweet: mobile.twitter.com/WWERollins/status/1143200880491028482And it's like, the roster is not who folks are talking about when they say WWE sucks. Usually the roster is the only source of praise given to the company at the moment, especially in the context of "Their roster is too great to be involved in all that bullshit right now."

Seth comes off as such a dork. Everyone and their moms have been saying WWE has their most talented roster in history, it's everything else that f***en sucks. Seth comes on twitter and is basically burying himself by looking like a massive twat.

Even though there's like zero chance of it happening, I kinda want Moxley to reply to one of those tweets like, "Dude...come on, really?"

People saying Seth is being a great leader makes me take pause. And then I’m like..”no that makes sense we have no idea what a great leader should be”.
He’s hurt. And sensitive. And trying to boast and yell...it’s not a good look.
This..isn’t isolated about the guy either. Great wrassler. And an apparent dipshit. Many things can be true.

It’d be funny if these tweets were really in response to what Velveteen posted a few weeks back.

"Engaging the dirtsheets" isn't leadership either.
The 205 Live crew doesn't need Seth Rollins to 'confront the sheetz', they deserve a bigger stage and need better visibility than a token pre-show match.
Ricochet spent 12 years being one of the biggest indy darlings EVER. Ricochet doesn't need Seth Rollins to 'stick up for him' by taking to Twitter.
If Seth Rollins is trying to be a leader, then he needs to look at today's wrestling landscape, see WWE's place in it, and then he should be in Vince McMahon's office pleading his case that 'this roster deserves better' and 'this company needs change', not wasting his time posturing on social media. Because, it isn't the dirtsheets' fault that nobody watches 205 Live. It wasn't the dirtsheets that alienated Cody Rhodes, Sasha Banks, and Jon Moxley from WWE. It isn't the dirtsheets that are in bed with Saudi Arabia. It isn't the dirtsheets pushing Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler as main eventers in 2019.
Personally, I don't even know if Rollins is actually trying to be a leader on Twitter. I am more inclined to believe that he's just as frustrated as anybody else, and it finally boiled over last night.

Wish I was there! #Eatmybutt” The ironic thing is if Rollins instead went as his peers and said "WWE is a bad place to work" he'd get more support. I think so much of that is how much Vince's shadow looms large over the product, and that for a significant amount of people, clapping back is seen as defending/endorsing Vince (and all the things they don't like about him, e.g.: the Saudi deal).

Seeing most of the support coming from the usual fangirls and WWE loyalists on his Tweets has me chuckle.
Like, I get it; you're trying to stick up for your company. That being said, considering that WWE right now isn't exactly the most popular company in the country, it comes off more as a propaganda statement than discussing it with the fanbase, which to be honest, is something that recent events has shown is not a good idea if you're employed with WWE(*cough*Corey*cough*).

The initial "Best pro wrestling on the planet. Period." tweet doesn't really bother me. Sure, it's not true, but it doesn't make sense for him to go around saying, "Man, our product f***ing sucks. Don't waste your $9.99 on the WWE Network, get NJPW World instead." It's a basic PR fiction, like if Coca-Cola were to say that they are they best soda on the market, even though Pepsi is obviously superior. It's not a big deal. Even in the second tweet, though, he has already begun to show his ass. And it shows why the defenses of his stupidity as being a "Locker Room Leader" are wrong. That second tweet in the OP, he literally says, "See that Cruiserweight Triple Threat? And that’s just one night, one match amongst the many. Find anyone else alive who does what I do as well as I do it as often as I do it. Ya can’t." So, he begins by praising a match that he was not in, and then says no one is as good as him. So he's actually burying the match he just "praised" - last time I checked, none of Tony Nese, Drew Gulak, or Akira Tozawa are Seth Rollins. He then doubled down on his burial of his co-workers this morning - after all, if "The level I perform at on constant is untouchable," then that includes his co-workers among the people unable to touch him (and both of these tweets also bring us from "normal PR fiction" to "obvious bullshit." I don't know if there is any fan that knows any wrestling outside of WWE that thinks he is genuinely the best wrestler in the world. That he is a great wrestler isn't in dispute, but in a world with people like Okada, Omega, Ospreay, and so on, it's very hard to make the case that Rollins is #1). Then he attacks a rando dirtsheet tweet ("Sure do dorks" is a hell of a way to make sure that you come off as poorly as possible, even if he were right), and then the tweet gets even dumber. "And you’re still talking/writing about it."? The Cageside Seats tweet he quoted was literally sent out during the PPV. Boy howdy, look how great that PPV is! The show left such an imprint on the audience that people were still talking about it...during the show. Boy, he got 'em. Then his tweet going after Ospreay is the epitome of "I'm not mad, I'm actually laughing." I guess what I am saying is, never tweet.

Yeah. I mean going by that logic its to say that everyone on this forum talking, watching and even linking anything about WWE means we all support that too. It can hit all areas if need be.

There is a way to hype and put over your own with respect and in a way that makes everybody look good, and a way to do it like a teenager that just found out someone doesn't like his favorite band. Personally I'd prefer the former.

Yeah, Rollins is not looking good here. This is almost "quit hating" bad.
I get he is proud of his peers and the work he's put in, but yikes.

I don't really have a problem with his tweets, but I just pictured Seth doing a CM Punk pipebomb where he's actually praising the company and it's f***ing hilarious.

Him saying the bit about how he's heard guys talking bad about the company and doesn't like it sounded like some kind of dis directed at Moxley.
