I feel like we say this every day, but this is the dumbest booking decision. They could have easily added unpredictability to the show by having one or two matches end during a commercial break instead of a dive to the outside the ring as Michael Cole deadpans, "Raw rolls on." Come back from commercial break, one of the guys is celebrating, and replay the ending for us. It would add an almost "anything can happen" feel to the show. Instead, they seem like they are a few days from making a 2/3 falls title that will look identical to the 24/7 title. I look forward to next week’s 2/3 falls 24/7 match lasting an epic 35 seconds.

So for somebody who is not actually watching the product anymore (barring the occasional PPV), are they seriously making all of their weekly show’s matches 2/3 Falls just to fit them around the commercial breaks? Because nothing about that makes me want to tune back in again.

Because nothing about that makes me want to tune back in again. Seems like between 0 and 2 matches per show. I don’t see the big issue.

Haven't watched Raw or Smackdown in weeks. My question is two out of three fall matches are traditionally longer than one fall matches. So how the hell does that help the matches not run during the commercials? Also the thought of Miz or Elias vs. anybody in a 2 out of 3 Falls match is enough to make me not want to watch WWE ever again. The thought of those two AGAINST each other 2 out of 3 Falls gets the Jim Cornette face. Seriously that had to be the worst match on WWE TV since that "Donald Trump" vs. "Rosie O'Donnell" fiasco back in 2007

Then you would get Vince Russo's Utopia.

The predictability of the way every match goes to and comes back from a commercial is so lame and lazy. Didn't a Sin Cara match end during a commercial break a few years back?

Didn't a Sin Cara match end during a commercial break a few years back? was that the one when del rio broke his finger/wrist and sin cara couldn't continue or made the ref stop the match which only pissed del rio off even more because sin cara wouldn't even just rush to the finish if he was hurt but went for a ref stoppage so he wouldn't be pinned?

That's like saying the intermission between periods in a basketball game coincides with a commercial break. The first fall happens and they cue up a break not omg happenstance 1st fall always comes right before a break... in kayfabe terms.

So, apparently the 2 out of 3 falls match between Elias and Miz actually had the two wrestling during the commercial break, and they added in a fake bell sound on the broadcast when they came back from commercial.
They go through all the hoops just to break their self-imposed rules anyway.
