The gap between Tanahashi/Naito and Okada is pretty big. Ikeman is the top non-NJPW guy.
Sanada being higher than Ibushi might be a surprise to some.

My girl Tequila Saya climbing the ranks!
EDIT: Sometimes I get ideas for dream matches based on their placement in these lists. Anyone else really want Jay White vs Jun Kasai?

Happy to see Miyahara crack the top ten, he’s grown into a total package performer (not Lex style, I mean literally).
Dang, Taichi is way up there, a 60 point spike. However we feel about his tactics, it’s clicking with audiences. And SANADA is easily a future main eventer for NJPW, barring any big controversies or injuries.

You goddamn right Kairi Sane is Japan's most popular female wrestler.
Now WWE only needs to use her.
And just imagine if they had pulled the trigger on Naito already.
Anyone knows how the points work?Is it a single vote or a Top 5 sort of deal?

Not surprised at all that Tanahashi is number one. I am a little surprised though that Naito got that many more votes than Okada.

Andrew is my dude, props for him tweeting it.
Sareee being that high for someone who doesn’t exactly make tape often is remarkable. She’s had an amazing year and will be courted by WWE and AEW almost as a lock.

Can't say I'm surprised by a lot of these, like Kenny Omega still being the most popular gaijin or Tanahashi, Naito, and Okada being top 3. Though SANADA being 4 is a bit of a shock. Also hell yes Kairi Sane being top 10 and the most popular female wrestler. I don't really watch much of any joshi, but after tonight I definitely get why Riho is up there.

I knew SANADA had his fans, but still, impressive.
Glad to see Taichi do well, given he's seemingly been putting a lot of work in, and NJPW's been giving him room to grow.

My only complaint about Sanada is he is so ridiculously handsome that it feels like he is actively nerfing himself just to make it fair for everyone else and I'm not sure if I dig it

It was nice of Satan and C'thulhu to drop in to cast their votes for YOSHI HASHI

Riho ranks that high because of her rep as a prodigy and Gatoh Move is a promotion that really focuses on intimacy with fans. Outside of looks I have no idea about Sanada.

I mean, #85 isn't great, but I'll take it. She's gonna be pissed about Reika Saiki being ranked so high, though (which actually really surprises me).
In fact, I'm surprised by a lot of these joshi rankings. I've never even heard of Mei Suruga, and I'm pleased (but surprised) to see Makoto is still popular.

Like clockwork this f***ing guy: www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/prores/wwe/1458723/I'm selfishly hoping it would just be MYC (it's rumored she left SEAdLINNNG because they wouldn't let her participate originally) because it would hurt the landscape a lot, and HHH does sorta hint at it just being something to discuss down the line. But if someone wants to go they gonna go.

I'm stunned that Tokyo Joshi Pro features nowhere in this, other than Maki Itoh, and she's technically a freelancer. Amazed at how popular Riho is, she showed promise when she appeared at EVE a couple of years ago, and has really blossomed in her two AEW appearances, amazed she's that well regarded. Tam Nakano being the most popular from STARDOM is a bit of a surprise for me.
