Oh, something else: JR needs to be reined in. It's embarrassing and cringeworthy to have an announcer talking about "Happy ending" being one of his favorite Chinese dishes, among other things.

The camera angles sometimes I don’t like. Should be zooming to Brandi & Cody instead of giving us a long shot where we can barely see them.
10 minutes remaining! Yes please knock this shit off. I can’t have this every match.
The Bucks & Omega’s entrance. Good god. Horribly cringeworthy.
Joey Janela does some extreme shit but he doesn’t feel like a star to me and didn’t seem in Mox’s league.
Some of the spots in the 6 Man were convoluted as shit. Some realism please.

Concerning the librarians I would say if this was another company there is a really easy and fun fix to that currently crap gimmick without just abandoning it.
I just think to the Brendan Fraser movie inkheart...take that basic concept and ramp it up to even more of a supernatural insanity...have them using the librarian as a cover for a cult that summons wrestlers (under really weird gimmicks) to do their bidding from books , and of course have something go wrong like they summon something that looks terrifying but is a total pacifist.

Between this and thinking the OWE guys were Chinese at DoN because OWE is based in China, I think they should probably keep JR from commentating on matches with Asian wrestlers.

I don't really have any strong dislikes.
The chair shot, for all intended purposes, sounds like a freak accident on a rigged prop.
The goofy CEO of CEO vs. Nakazawa (@nakazawa) was approximately a Shane McMahon match but with the non-wrestling money dude being treated as a mistaken participant only getting by due to weapons (and I stand by the logic of slamming Nakazawa in the pool removed the baby oil that allowed the later German Suplex. WRESTLING PSYCHOLOGY!). The match was horrible but I've seen worse.
The Non-Sanctioned match didn't really do much for me. The announcers just shouting about the violence could've been used to build the actual story of "Janella thinks that Moxley has gone PG-Soft and now Moxley is going to murder Joey to prove to everyone how dangerous Mox still is" and essentially let it be his "Look, that guy you think you know? He's not here anymore" moment. Most definitely at the end when he made sure to slam his own body into tacks to finish Janella. In all, it was just a mindless grossfest.
Oh, and get some more daggone singles matches. I know they want to show off as many people as possible, but just get me a couple guys doing what they do.
And I missed the Fyre Fest parody comedy because it was the daggone pre-show and when there wasn't a match I was doing other things. But, yeah, don't launch into niche comedy.

1. Blood. Hard way can happen but I don't like planned bleeding.
2. Shots to the head.
3. This one is debatable because it only seems to be the pre show, but the backstage skits based on BTE are really not something that I think needs to translate up.

For now, I'm going to write off the chairshot as a one-off mistake that they hopefully won't repeat.
Biggest thing for me right now is, they need to do a better job on defining faces and heels. A big reason for this is that they are doing so many multi-man matches right now, and rivalries and contrasts are hard to do in this format. Aside from a few (MJF, Moxley, Dark Order), they don't really have many bad guys, and there are some that are completely shades of gray. What is Joey Janela? Private Party? Jimmy Havoc? These guys need defined characters, and need to connect so the fans know why to cheer or boo them.

Bad comedy. I like comedy in wrestling but a lot of it simply isn't funny especially a lot of the stuff that is too niche and just kind of goes over your head as a result.
Lame undercard gimmicks that just come off as very lame and low rent like the Librarians and the Dark Circle. The Dark Circle in particular comes as very bush league and something you would see in a local indy fed.
Lack of big guys. Having smaller guys is fine especially if they're marketable and believable but when like literally every guy on your roster is undersized that's kind of a problem IMO just mainly for variety reasons. Cody and Moxley were the two biggest guys wrestling on the show last night and while both are decent guys neither are exactly hosses by any means. Both were considered undersized or too skinny themselves at times during their WWE runs but yet both looked like giants compared Darby Allen and Joey Janela respectively.

3 man and even 4 man commentary is just too much, especially when they are all play by play guys. We need 1 play by play and 1 colour commentator and that's it.
I know this is because AEW don't have a weekly tv show yet, but I don't like when guys have another match booked in an upcoming event as well as one on the night. For instance it was real obvious that CIMA and Allie were winning as they have matches coming up at Fight for the Fallen.
These are ridiculous nit picks I know but that tells you how much of the AEW product I enjoy.

Absolutely loved the opener of the preshow (SCU vs. Best Friends vs. Private Party), but everything else in the 40 minutes that followed was so dreadful that I turned it off - and I'm in the States, where the whole event was free on B/R Live. Some things work better in a self-contained BTE than as part of a larger presentation.
I'm still rooting for them to do well, but when your preshow makes me want to avoid the main show, it's not a good sign. (Just one person's opinion here. Feel free to disagree.)

The way that entrance music isn't clear to be heard during entrances.
There are some other little things, but since they're mostly popular, I'd rather not mention them.

There are three things that are keeping me from full immersion:
1. The Young Bucks. Yes, I know they are obviously going to be involved onscreen...and I've already stated my opinion of them as wrestlers.
2. Some of their "edgier" in ring bits have been cringe worthy. Obviously wrestling can be brutal where feuds are involved, but the Cody chairshot and Dustin's blade job are just scary.
3. Maybe this will change with TV, but I don't think AEW has done a great job explaining who the members of their roster are, unless they are on BTE. I'm a nerd so I know who most of the roster is and what's their deal...but that does not help the casual fan. Example: I know what a Jungle Boy is, but my mother wants to know why they let that 15 year old wrestle.

I can't comment on the Librarian schtick because I haven't seen it but isn't what they're doing with Leva everything that people bitch about WWE doing? Hire someone off the indies and take away everything that got them over in the first place?

Comedy wrestling has never even accidentally been funny. I can deal with it, but I kind of grit my teeth, say “hey that’s cool” for any good spots, and wait for it to be over. It would be nice to see a major promotion not try and inject unfunny breaks from amateur comedians into their product.

Librarian gimmick. I enjoyed the Fyre Fest riff, I enjoyed Jebailey/Nakazawa for what it was, but this Librarian gimmick has worse go away heat with me than Baron Corbin.
