My first, and for a while, only exposure to wrestling (no cable t.v.) was Shotgun Saturday Night. I thought I was sooo smart for figuring out the show wasn't being broadcast live- because "the crowd didn't look tired enough for it to be that late", lol. However, I still managed to be under the impression that an arena full of people had bought tickets just to come in for a one hour show featuring a bunch of recaps from Raw and a couple of jobber matches, then leave My youngest uncle thought that a lot of shows were live and I had told him later on that most shows were taped. An early example was that Raw came to my area but it was on a Tuesday. He saw that the episode are the following Monday. I think he kind of got that at the time. What made me realize that shows were taped where when I saw a preview of a following match while watching WCW Saturday Night. The preview clip look dead on like part of the match that was shown later on. That was when I came to a realization that the shows were taped.

I remember telling a friend the blood was fake but for the pictures in magazines they would just give themselves a tiny cut on their forehead to get the picture taken.
I have no idea what the f*** I was talking about and somehow stumbled on a half truth. I was like 6.

That Papa Shango legit used evil power to make Ultimate Warrior puke.
That the WWF block logo said “WF.” It really wasn’t until well into the scratch logo days that I realized it was supposed to be 2 stacked W’s. I wasn’t the only one, though. As a kid, one of my buddies was at the house when WWF came on. He confusedly exclaimed, “WF? I thought it was WWF!”
During 97 & 98, I mainly watched WCW and very little WWF. So when I first caught a little bit of WWF in that period, I thought “The Rock” was a nickname for Ken Shamrock.

I thought the T-rex at the end of Jurassic Park "turned face" and went after the raptors because of how wrestling storylines go. Like he(or she rather) was just tired of their crap and decided he was gonna help the humans from now on.

Aged about 7, collecting WWF trading cards, I came across an odd one with 2 friends of mine.
The Bobby Heenan card had a graphic on it which was essentially his signature. Because of the handwriting style it looked like Bobby Feelan. These 2 friends were convinced to the point we would argue that this was his name. Never mind the fact 'Heenan' was typed right next to it on the info and they called him Heenan on TV, it reached the point we just didnt discuss it, even at that age because we were sick of an argument where we all thought we were right.
