I honestly forget if these kinda things went on the WWE board or this one, so if it needs to be moved, sorry, go ahead with that. www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/prores/wwe/1458723/Via Tokyo Sports, HHH met with Sareee in Tokyo and WWE expressed interest in bringing her in. One note of interest in the article is that HHH was touched that she stood in the rain with no umbrella to say goodbye to WWE officials as they left. Another thing to note is that she herself may be interested in WWE since there is a rumor one of the reasons she jumped from SEAdLINNNG back to Diana is that the former wouldn't cooperate with her interests in doing the MYC. If you're unfamiliar with Sareee, she's 23 with 8 years experience and trained under Kyoko Inoue & Kaoru Ito, and holds both the Diana and Sendai Girls championships. Despite her age, she's regarded as one of the best women's wrestlers in Japan (I'd put her right at the top), and has had maybe the strongest year of any woman there going right now, not just in terms of stellar matches, but given a notable rub by conquering a lot of big names consecutively. If you're seeing a stink about it on Twitter/reddit/etc, one of the reasons for it outside of typical "ugh WWE" stuff is that she's attached to a lot at the moment. Some people are surprised when they hear Stardom isn't exactly the number one joshi promotion in Japan, and one reason lately for that (outside of how quickly Actwresgirlz has gotten popular and Ice Ribbon being Ice Ribbon), is that recently Marvelous, Sendai Girls, SEAdLINNNG, and Diana have had a good working relationship. This isn't really that big a departure from how most non-Stardom companies work, but at a recent show the aces of each company stood in the ring and made a vow to discard company borders completely and work together to make a new age of women's wrestling in Japan (culminating with a rumored super show in 2020). It sounds hokey but it's put a lot of momentum behind recent shows/sales I believe. Sareee has sort of unofficially been pegged as the figurehead of this coalition so I think that's where the complaints are coming in. She's young and I think I read an interview where she said she had a checklist of things to do, so maybe it'll just end up being MYC or heading over whenever she feels like it. Personally I have mixed feelings since she's a personal fav and I think WWE is just too much of a mess with it's roster, but getting paid and doing what you want trumps everything. Anyway sorry that went longer than it should have lol, Anyway if you want to see a good match with her, I think Sendai Girls official channel has her vs Meiko Satomura and DASH Chisako on it, otherwise this one from last month currently sits among my favorites of the year. youtu.be/YKNOJ7nr2mk?t=5

Even on NXT, she'll just be another challenger that comes up short against Baszler like Sane and Shirai did nowadays.

As I said in another thread;
Vince won't even use Kairi(Japan's Most Beloved female wrestler) and Asuka(The bad-ass that had everything set for her if you didn't majorly f*** up). They are two of japan's best and WWE won't use then.
Saree won't be different.Triple H can hire her but Vince won't use.

Apparently they were scouting Sareee and Arisa Nakajima. Before this year where Sareee has started to break out, I would have said Sareee and Arisa Nakajima were probably the best relatively unknown women (from a western fan perspective) in Japan. Of the two, I think Sareee would be the one to have the best chance to make it in WWE, just because I think they'd like her look.

Triple H is trying to curate NXT into its own thing, and potentially bring up the stars he'd like to have. Obviously, the execution has not always been there, though. If Saree signs, then I won't hold it against her, but I've got a lot of misgivings about WWE at the moment for many reasons.

I wonder if Triple H has to show Vince McMahon Asian porn every time he wants to sign a Japanese woman.
*Before anyone gets offended, this is in reference to Jim Ross (the head of talent relations at the time) having to show Vince McMahon Asian porn before signing Gail Kim to prove to him that some people were actually attracted to Asian women.

I thought the story was that JR told him that people watch Asian porn I don’t think he whipped his laptop out and loaded up pornhub or anything. Also I don’t think you needed to explain the reference on here

For whatever consolation it's worth, at least Heavy Machinery seems to finally be getting some consistent use, as far as NXT talent goes.

Ah, more Asian wrestlers to stock pile and seemingly do nothing with. I don’t even know why any would consider the offer unless they’re want the money.

It's also potentially less arduous. So many joshi retire early, and it's not just due to many starting familes. A lot of them are also completely chewed up and spit out well before they're 30.

I understand your other points, but I don’t see what prestige someone achieves by just being in the WWE. There’s no prestige to me unless they actually use the person decently and not just the way they have many others.

There’s no prestige to me unless they actually use the person decently and not just the way they have many others. Sareee works for Diana, one of the smaller joshi promotions after being part of SEAdLINNNG, where she was reportedly bullied by the other women in the promotion (which currently just has three wrestlers and a featured referee). Sareee has finally been given a chance to excel this year as she's been booked a lot for Sendai Girls' and Marvelous. She is currently the Sendai Girls' Champion, on top of being the champion of Diana. I'd imagine she may be making a bit more money now than she has been, but WWE would offer her the chance to make considerably more if she is able to make it to the main roster. Just a developmental/NXT may not be worth it for some women in Japan. Reportedly, Io Shirai actually earned more before going to WWE, but that is probably due to her having control over her merchandise money, which not all women have. Historically, having success in America has been a big deal for Japanese wrestlers when they return to Japan. I think it's made Asuka (formerly Kana) even bigger in Japan.

Why does she need three E's? Triple H met triple E, and with their powers combined, they are now HEHEHE.

Why does she need three E's? Why does SEAdLINNNG... oh, why bother... It’s actually a name loaded with a bunch of puns/pronunciation quirks/abbreviations depending on who you ask. Some people say the l is supposed to be r, so ring, because of Japanese spelling/pronunciation. It also works as “seedling” since the concept behind it was Nanae replanting seedlings for joshi, and their mascot is a pineapple seedling. The title is called “beyond the sea” championship. As for the n’s, some say it’s Nanae, Natsuki, Nakajima. In Japanese, sometimes “D” is looked as half a wing—when wrestlers enter through the curtains there are wings on each side making it look like their own. This one is a stretch. Whatever reason, it’s lead to my favorite bi weekly alert on joshi twitter with “The D is up”. In terms of Sareee, I think she wanted to romanize her name with a pronunciation guide lol

The SEAdLINNNG name (as mentioned above) is trying to hit on a lot of puns and meanings.
Sareee's name supposedly came from a mix of her real name (Sari) and the Japanese pop band Greeeen.
