Really I see absolutely nothing in Kalisto, Gran Metalik, and Lince Dorado as singles guys or as a team.
The most use I can really see for the lot of them would be to put Kalisto back with Sin Cara and just have Metalik and Dorado as a jobber team.

I really get why you think that way but considering where two of them were around the time of the Cruiserweight classic, that sounds insane to me. Like, at this point the best two people who came from it were Zack Sabre Jr. and Kota Ibushi and they didn't even sign.

That shouldn't be shocking since WWE has just never booked cruisers well at all. Sabre and Ibushi are at least not booked like total jobbers in NJPW, but where would both of those guys be in WWE? Probably nowhere.

But my god it was so clear how the people writing his promos didnt get nerd culture, gamer ,young people or ANYTHING about TJP. I don't know if anyone could make that shit work. And Noam Dar was on the cusp of something great with Enzo until..yeh.

It kills me that they have Mascara freakin' Dorada on their roster and this is what he's doing. That's mind blowing. But yeah, there's a reason why Sabre sent a non-kayfabe tweet to Ibushi after their most recent match saying "We made the right decision, didn't we?"

You have to wonder what Japanese and Mexican fans think when they have freaking KENTA and Mascara Dorada and they dont do shit.

You have to wonder what Japanese and Mexican fans think when they have freaking KENTA and Mascara Dorada and they dont do shit. It's weird, isn't it? From a business standpoint, if you really want to expand your marketshare in Latino markets or even in Japan you're not served terribly well by booking like this. Obviously not every Latin or Japanese talent has been booked into oblivion in WWE, that'd be a dishonest argument, but fans of these guys would like to see them succeed on the big stage, and at least booking them competently would send a message to those fans that they should check out WWE to watch some of those favorites get a chance to shine in a new setting. They don't need to all become world champ, but just being featured well could do plenty. It's more complex from a talent scouting position, I guess. Most wrestlers will still view WWE as the biggest potential pay day out there, and rightly so, and some international talents being booked poorly won't change that. Plus, there's stuff like what Del Rio has recently told other Mexican wrestlers: go to WWE, make your money, build your international stature, then get out and use your stronger standing to do whatever you want; WWE obviously offers that at a level nobody else can right now. At the same time, it has to stick out that certain types of wrestlers simply don't get much to do, get lost in the shuffle easily, and end up spinning their wheels and likely not making the type of money they were hoping. On this particular front, it does stand out that masked wrestlers not named Rey Mysterio get forgotten about a lot. Sometimes it's not entirely WWE's fault (see: original Sin Cara), but it's noticeable, and it's curious if it might impact the decision making process of some lucha talents out there. Not saying this is the reason why they didn't sign, but remember all the buzz awhile back that the Lucha Bros (Pentagon and Fenix) were being heavily courted by WWE? Assuming those reports were true, it seems that those two saw something they didn't like, and it's possible, though certainly not proven, that such booking might've played a role in their choice to instead wait things out until AEW got going.

Just to add too, we all joke about an NXT Japan or NXT Mexico but it also comes with wanting to adapt to the style of the respective countries and not just trying to wedge something in that doesn’t fit. Like, for how well NXT UK does for tapings, it does at times feel like a lackluster version of their partner promotions like PROGRESS, ICW or sub partners like Fight Club Pro and OTT.

1500 seems a bit low.
Is that normal for house shows now?
