The wwe network edits of ECW shows are pretty excessive even the 24/7 versions are more complete.I’ve recently been on a ecw kick watching random shows and alot of these ppv’s are missing 30 minutes plus of content. The other night I watched Guilty as Charged 2001 and it was like 2hr 15mins when the live airing was just a few minutes shy of 3hrs. Its cool that were getting these but I had forgotten how much the wwe edits hurt these ecw shows. Yeah, I have copies of Hardcore TV, on TNN, and the Supercards/PPV’s from original airings. Some of them are shit quality, but it’s so much better watching them without the WWE edits. I had no idea it was that bad on the network as I too was always going to my original airings for ECW but out of convenience I watched GAC 2001 on the network and it was jarring. So yesterday I watched my live airing of GAC 2001 and noticed the network version was hacked to bits not just missing entrances.

I have the Pioneer Entertainment DVD release of the show from 2002, and it has nearly identical edits. Almost all of the entrances are removed, post match footage where music plays is gone or trimmed down, but all the backstage segments are included. Two things it does have that the WWE Network version does not is Sandman's ring entrance (with Motorhead's cover version of "Enter Sandman") and Rob Van Dam's entrance (unedited).

I guess there's more room to add some shows from late 96 and into 1997 (as well as a handful of earlier shows from 1993), but once ECW started to produce regularly PPV's, these "supercards" were pretty much phased out. But 98 had some of the best ones in House Party, This Ain't Seinfeld, Cyberslam, etc. When the Cyberslams hit the Network I might have to subscribe to the Network for a month. Cyberslam for those that don't know pretty much started off as a Rec.Sport.Pro-Wrestling convention/show. Lots of the older members of the IWC will tell you how it was in part because of RSPW that ECW became so well known. So as a thank you Paul created Cyberslam. When I joined RSPW in 97 ECW was the most popular subject of conversation. And lots of the regular posters went to Cyberslam. Will be interesting to watch Ultra CLash on the Network and see what all is missing from the old VHS release. I love that WWE is putting out more ECW stuff. But still wonder if they will ever start uploading more Mid South and UWF footage.

Agreed to the last post. Mid-South is easily the best of the territories and it would be so good if they could upload it all the way to its end:)

Are these gone already? Seem to be!
Edit: Seems they are still there if you do a bit of searching but they're no longer under ECW PPVs.

Where ECW is concerned, it's really worth it to just track down lower generation copies of the originals, rather than to watch the edited to hell Network versions of these shows with entrance music removed (and more).

Yeah I'm a big fan of the tape library, but it's hard to watch ECW on the Network as the entrance music was a huge part of the presentation.
