They won't because AEW, but honestly at this juncture if I were WWE I'd probably just release him. This is at least the second time, maybe third, he's been arrested since he came back and it's not like he's been back for a gigantic span of time anyway.
Not that Jeff necessarily needs that on his mind right now but by the same token, if he keeps getting away with it he doesn't really have much incentive to improve.

I thought Matt was keeping an eye on him. Shame he can't get past his demons. Matt has a pregnant wife and two small children, it's not like he can keep tabs on Jeff 24/7. Jeff needs the kind of rehab that lasts more than 30 days. He's got kids too who need him and if he continues like this, we won't make it to 50. Good point. You'd think he'd want to keep clean for his nephews

Forget an Uber or cab, he can afford a limo. There's no excuse for this It doesn’t say this was a DUI though. He shouldn’t be touching any drink at all, but I’d much rather hear public intoxicating than DUI.

I don't think AEW would touch him with a 20ft. pole. Or New Japan for that matter. ROH on the other hand...

I mean, they probably wouldn't, but with the way WWE's hoarding people like dragons right now I don't think they're willing to take the minuscule risk.

On the plus side, he wasn't behind the wheel and near murder someone this time.

I feels so bad for Jeff man between his injuries and his demons he's on track to have a very sad documentary about him in the future...

Maybe he was drunk in a bar, got thrown out for wearing a hat, and hence was in public.

It's nearly an annual thing, because I tried to google this and it kept coming up with his March 2018 arrest too. Considering how vocal Reby has been about Ashley Massaro, I can only imagine how she feels about her brother-in-law. Hell, she was probably relieved when Matt was teaming with Bray.

Sounds like we need a new Jeff. I'm sure there's some punk somewhere who could take up the role...

TMZ.com is reporting that Jeff Hardy was arrested on Saturday in Myrtle Beach, SC for public intoxication and impairment. Hardy was released later in the day on $153 bond. According to the police department, it’s unlikely that anything will happen to Hardy since the arrest was an ordinance violation.
WWE issued a brief statement:
"Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions."
Hardy is currently rehabbing a knee injury.
I feel like WWE PR have that in their clipboard all of the time, just prepared for when they have to paste it somewhere.

As a former addict I have two reactions.
Poor, poor Jeff.
And
Jeff you idiot.

That feud was the best thing Hardy ever had going for him. Unfortunate he was playing the face while the heel unquestionably had the moral high ground.

I'm almost afraid that if Barry Blaustein ever made Beyond the Mat 2, Jeff Hardy would be replacing Jake Roberts.

I wish they would convince him in doing DDP yoga, it helped Hall and Jake Roberts. I don't think Jeff will ever learn but the thing about Hall and Roberts that worked is that they were friends with DDP. There was more emotional support than a normal rehab. A DDP intervention would most likely not work for say Sunny or Marty Jannetty as it did Hall and Roberts. And it did work, I often cite their rehab to people working with those dealing with drug or alcohol addiction I believe in them so much. I think Jeff would need someone he is emotionally attached for something to even begin to work with his recovery. And if he didn't learn from his god awful pay per view match with Sting, I wonder if he will ever learn. That there should have been a wake up call.

The emotional incentive is not likely to get better.
