Was just thinking back to how Jericho's heel run circa 2009 pretty much started a trend of the WWE forcing newly turned heels to wear suits and talk in monotone because of how well Y2J made it work... For as much of a relative cliche as the suit-wearing heel has gotten, who all has really made it work besides Jericho and to a semi-similar extent JBL? I'm trying to think up examples because I feel like this sort of character has been a miss far more than it's been a hit.

Miz wasn't terrible with it, though he works much better as a fast-talking wise-ass.

The 4 Horsemen always looked good in suits, as did Evolution.

Funny how that high school English teacher looks like Bobby The Brain Heenan.

I’d rather talk about Divas in business suits/smart workwear.
It’s for a school project.

Seriously? No Miss Hancock, Dana Brooke, Miss Tessmacher, or Eve Torres in business attire? Or even The Governor?
And Bobby Heenan looks like my high school science teacher. He also looks like he's being interviewed by a Fred Armisen character.
And I know who was a terrible suit wearing heel. Jack Swagger. He was D.O.A. as soon as he put on the suit.

I don't remember him making a gimmick out of it, but Cult of Personality-era CM Punk in ROH rocked a suit as he signed his WWE contract on top of the ROH Championship belt and it was one of the best heel promos I've ever seen.

Trying to remember if Jay Lethal did a lot of suit wearing in the House Of Truth.

Nowhere near the best heel but Jinder suit game was on point and he looked the part of a heel champ

That's a tuxedo, sir. DiBiase wasn't f***ing around. I think a first time champion should go way over the top with it. Wins the title, and comes out in a tophat and tails. A monocle. The whole nine yards. Would be hilarious when they're getting beat down.

Honestly, I think it would be easier to talk about guys who couldn't pull it off. Like Jack Swagger.
