Much like Private Party and Darby at Fyter Fest. A Boy and his Dinosaur were the breakout stars last night.
Everything they did was with precision and the crowd ate it up. They looked like Main Event guys there. AEW should consider making them the first tag champs

They should have Jungle boy defeat Sabian at All Out, Jungle Boy would gain something by defeating the man who almost drew with Adam Page.

They'd be awesome first champs, and like with Private Party, I am glad they won't be getting the tournament bye because I want potentially more matches from them in the tourney.

The tag division is easily the strongest part of AEW right now. A Boy and his Dinosaur are a standout, but the division that they are up against is certainly in their league.

They went from people I knew little about to one of my favorite tag teams in a short time. Break out performance

I also hope Marko Stunt is signed and sticks with them. I just love seeing them all together.

I think it probably also helps that most of the major companies have neglected their tag divisions. WWE obviously has gotten flak for years about being spotty with doing anything with their tag teams. NJPW's heavyweight tag division is utterly barren right now. ROH's tag division is rather stale with the Briscoes still pretty much doing the same old and no one really up on their level in terms of push. Impact seems to be trying with the Rascalz push, but all the same, AEW's got more tag love and emphasis than any of the players right now, and with the Bucks, that seems unlikely to change anytime soon.

These two are absolute stars. Jungle Boy's a perfect underdog and Luchasaurus just has that sort of once in a lifetime presence where even though his gimmick is in theory kind of dumb, you completely buy it and take him as a completely legitimate threat.

Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus have an "it" factor to them. It's a rare commodity in wrestling and the sky's the limit for them both.

They'd be awesome first champs, and like with Private Party, I am glad they won't be getting the tournament bye because I want potentially more matches from them in the tourney. You want to make the initial tag team champs a kid who's greener than goose crap and a reject from Slipknot? Riiigghhht

Well, if you think it's a good idea to make a comedy job team the tag champs all I then have to say is: TY FY Bye Now, that I've got the obvious flippant answer out of the way, someone please explain why it would be a good idea for an organization with a national audience and wants to be taken seriously to make an inexperienced kid and a guy who's basically a gimmick faces of the company? Does it lend gravitas to the organization? Or does it make it look like Chikara ?

If they’re the most over people in the company and it’s their time...sure. That’s sort of how the business side of wrestling works.

Like, honestly, if they opt to wait a bit and have the two chase the title, sure, that'd be great, too, but I think Jungle Boy's been doing tremendous even with his youth, and Luchasaurus is basically a strong contrast to Dark Uno. Luchasaurus has refined his gimmick and kept what works, and Uno still needs to figure that out.

And I'm about to watch the PPV from Saturday, I was working and couldn't view it live. I'm not questioning his in-ring ability, I'm questioning the concept of making these guys the initial AEW tag team champs. If you want to be taken seriously by a larger segment of the viewing public you dont make a kid and his pet lizard your initial tag team champions.

On the other hand AEW has positioned themselves very strongly as the promotion for wrestlers and for wrestling fans. While I wouldn’t complain at all if they put the belts on Private Party or Best Friends first, I think saying Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy, both of whom have shown considerable in ring ability, should be dismissed as a comedy act is incredibly disingenuous.
