I noticed D-Von was among the legends advertised for the show, but clearly Bubba is too busy intimidating Ring of Honor fans into not booing his wife. Please be Reverend D-Von. Please be Reverend D-Von. Please be Reverend D-Von. Please be Reverend D-Von. Please be Reverend D-Von. Please be Reverend D-Von. I have been waiting for nearly 17 years for this return. If he manages to get Deacon Batista to come back, I will lose my mind. ***(It could be a thing - a certain wrestler by the name of HHH needs to get his win back!!)

They’ve brought the legends out of the mothballs so frequently it’s impossible to care any longer.
Oh wow here’s Edge and Ron Simmons to say damn!

The only legend they always bring back that I'm interested in seeing is Steve Austin, but that's because him stunning sorry asses never gets old.
But yeah, they've been using the legend bandaid to bring interest into the show since like 06 lol. I have nothing but respect for all these wrestlers and I love seeing them(and happy they can get a good payday) but they gotta celebrate the star power of today imo

It would make sense that USA Network executives love Sgt. Slaughter, I suppose. YO JOE!

What about this legend? When Irony reaches Saudi Arabia in 2026,the Royals will demand Johnny Ace/Shane Douglas show up at The Greatest SummerSlam in full Dynamic Dudes Gear

It's kind of incredible how meaningless the nostalgia pop has become in modern day WWE because of how often it's been used the last decade. It ceased being a special attraction or having any unique "I have to see this!" value to it, and that makes me sad.

The fact even the Network itself thinks Old Wrestler Nostalgia is the only thing that is gonna save ratings makes me sad...

I mean, for them, it makes perfect sense. These shows do big audiences and they’re successful in terms of being talked about even with the decrease in effectiveness.
...the problem is that the same casual audience that watched Raw 25th last time literally left almost to the decibel point by the time next week came around. So they’re great at getting an audience but not retaining an audience.

Can we at least get another Gimmick Battle Royal or something fun? That 15th Anniversary Battle Royale is criminally underrated. I seriously marked so hard for Gillberg in a way I never expected to.

Honestly i'm not surprised JR wouldnt want to work with WWE Crazy how someone who's historically had a 50/50 shot of being brought back only to be treated as a joke or blamed for other peoples' failures wouldn't want to take the bone the second he's got a gig with someone who won't humiliate him on television.
