Not a single tag team match. We have a week left. We have plenty of time for them to add The Usos VS The OC or The New Day VS someone for the Tag Titles. With the way Raw ended, I thought they would do The Usos, Reigns, & Alexander VS The OC, Joe, & McIntyre, but then they did the angle with Reigns on Smackdown, so who knows.

On RAW Nattie said she would challenge Becky to a submission match, but wouldn't because Becky would be to scared to accept. So look for Becky to accept tonight on RAW.

Sort of weird to leak that to a paper, even if itโs the one Natalya does columns for regularly. Edit: No, wait, thatโs a Calgary paper. Iโm even more confused now.

The Calgary paper Nattie writes for and the Toronto Sun are part of the same family of newspapers.

Miz out, Goldberg in against Ziggler. Also, Becky/Natalya officially changed to a Submission Match.

What exactly are they even angling for with this Becky / Natalya thing? It almost registers, being a submission match in Canada, that they're wanting to try turning Becky or something by doing a Montreal thing, but I have a very hard time seeing even a Toronto crowd being willing to cheer Natalya over Becky.

I think they think theyโre doing this Steve Austin v Bret Hart kind of thing with the big mouth rebel type against the honourable technician type, but itโs got next to no juice to it, especially in comparison to Austin v Bret itself, because they put Lynch on such a pedestal over the rest of the division over the last year or so and havenโt got anyone built up to her.

Why Goldberg v Ziggler exactly? Have I missed something?

Becky vs. Natalya in a submission match sounds like the absolute worst thing in the universe holy shit
Goldberg vs. Ziggler sounds weirdly hype tho

Actually, with you mentioning the Bret vs. Austin Submission match, and this match being a Submission match as well, they may go for as close of a 1:1 remake of the Bret vs. Austin finish. It would certainly seem like they are heading in this direction, with Nattie keeping the Sharpshooter on for extended periods of time. Of course, without the blood, I think the impact of the finish will be lost if that's what they try on Sunday.

Are we to understand that Aleister Black vs Sami Zayn is off this card now that the match happened on Smackdown?
It's just the WWE did this a couple years ago with Neville/Tozawa and Balor/Bray as well; they had the matches on Raw and still had them later that week at Summerslam.

Itโll be interesting to see how this card gets laid out on the night because, ostensibly this is meant to be their second or third biggest show of the year, but itโs missing so many regularly featured talents. Three sets of tag champions and the IC Champion arenโt booked, as well as the likes of Reigns, Bryan, Strowman, The Usos, Corbin, Miz, Joe, McIntyre, Black, Andrade, Mysterio, Ali... This is the other side of the โWWE cards are too longโ debate. Yes, this card ainโt gonna run for 10 hours into Monday morning like WrestleMania, but only because they arenโt trying to book every single person.

This will be the 1st PPV of 2019 that Baron Corbin & Samoa Joe will not be in action, making Kofi Kingston as the only wrestler to compete on every WWE PPV of 2019.
