Wow I read some of the twitter responses....the vast majority of them are shitting on the crowd. WTF man? If her and people who like her, womens wrestling, WWE, etc etc can't handle a crowd crapping on something they need to grow a thicker skin, that's a joke. What do you expect? People are going to suck up to famous people online as much as they can.

I get they are in the WWE bubble so getting a real reaction is hard but crowds shitting on things has plenty of times created something better by you know letting the company know they were f***ing up.

Making this a "Man, this generation can't handle negativity" thing is honestly pretty dumb to me. Considering how WWE works as a company, the issue is more "These people aren't trained to deal with crowds because they're constantly performing to a hard cam repeatedly" because 99% of indie shows I have ever been to HAVE to perform to a crowd so everyone sees what's going on since, well, there aren't giant screens at most indie shows.
I still think Alexa is wrong but honestly, this has been a WWE problem ever since WCW shut down. They don't want people performing to a crowd outside of house shows.
Hell, they'll bash crowds if they're quiet so there's no winning situation here.

I mean, at the end of the day, it's a very simple chain reaction...
Match is very long and starts to drag, crowd loses interest. Match starts to fall apart and the in-ring performance dips below acceptable level, crowd let's the performers know they have failed.
There is no point where the performers should then turn around say, "No, it is disrespectful for you to inform me of my below acceptable performance. You will accept what you were given or else."
If the performers wish to address the issue, they should say, "Yes, I am aware I failed at my performance and I will do better next time." Or, they should say nothing.

The fault lies entirely with the whole "no wrestling during commercials" edict. Of course the crowd's going to get restless when the match has to stop three times because the show's on commercial break.

Problem on WWE, and those who came up through only WWE, is that they are taught to play to the camera, not the crowd. In wrestling you have to know how to read the road and adjust accordingly In one of the wrestling books (possibly Foley or Jericho...can’t remember) there was a story about when the wrestler was first starting he had a match with a vet. He did a couple of nice moves that got no reaction. The vet then put on a simple submission which got a pop. He tried another move to silence. Vet then led the rest of the match with submissions and the crowd ate it up. Have to be able to work the crowd I think it might have been foley talking about his first trip to japan. he tried to do the usual moves he would do in the states and got no reaction. as soon as he locked in a headlock the crowd reacted because they were accustomed to mat based chain wrestling rather than flashy moves at that time.

It's weird because she knows how bad the Bayley, This is Your Life segment was and even makes fun of it herself, so you'd think this wouldn't bother her as much as it did.

It was an awful match which was too long and had 2 heatless competitors, a third who has done nothing but been in comedy skits for the past 2 months, and a 4th who is still playing the same chickenshit heel role she has been playing for years, even though the crowd is sick of booing her, it was dead on arrival if it was a 10 minute match, let alone something that is 24 minutes.

Something like this really makes you appreciate guys like John Cena and Roman Reigns who can take the boos in stride.

Getting shit on by fans isn't likely fun. The customer isn't always right.
But that match sucked, and it was booked in a way that did none of them any favors. It never needed to be that long, and dropping Carmela early only made it more boring. Naomi has lost her nerve, Alexa's sick or hurt like every other day it feels like, and Nattie's been wrestling since she was a teen and is worn out. None of the women in the match have any creative spark behind their booking.

This is part of my issue with the whole 'women's evolution' thing. There are some women (Ronda, Asuka, Charlotte, Becky, Sasha, Bayley perhaps a few others with some time and experience) who are main event standard and deserve to be treated that way - it's great that they're promoted and considered on a level with main event men.
On the other hand, this doesn't mean all the women should be treated this way just because they're women. The likes of Alexa and Carmella are great characters and can put on decent short matches, but have no business being in lengthy wrestling matches. There should be a clear tiered system for the women like there is for the men because there's a clear gulf in talent and stardom.
Instead of the tag titles which have been a waste of time, I'd much rather have had a women's world title and women's intercontinental title.

Well, she's within her right to say it so I've got no problems. Everyone has an opinion.

That's what you SHOULD be doing if you're a wrestler losing a crowd, not bitching on f***ing Twitter, even if it's a shit situation, try SOMETHING. I think Big Show and Randy Orton need to hold an emergency clinic on how not to give a shit when the crowd turns on your match; they seem to be ones to be able to reign it back in and reignite the crowd when necessary. Network. Special.

Honestly, the WWE would be better off just wrestling in empty arenas, using greenscreens to paste crowds into the background. The current production doesn't want wrestlers interacting with the fans, looking at the fans or acknowledging the fans. The wrestlers are told to do everything to the hard cam - promos, moves, pins, no matter how unnatural or awkward it looks. They want the fans to react a certain way, and are prepared to outright lie and alter footage to 'fix' it when they don't.
Vince would finally have full control, even over the paying audience, and then silly, ill-thought out edicts like 'no wrestling during commercial breaks' wouldn't matter at all. Hell, they wouldn't even need to be live, with no audience to leak match results.

I know the term “soft” is brought up a lot for today’s generation, but my god, she is offended by “this is awful”? Considering some of the chants women have had directed towards them prior to WWE’s “hey look we are progressive, honest!” phase, that is almost beyond the pale for what to be offended by. As mentioned, the crowd was taking turns chanting “you suck (insert boyfriend/spouse)” at women a few years ago. Unless fans are chanting racist or sexist or overall hateful things, just roll with it. Exactly. The fact that she can't handle a G-Rated chant is beyond ridiculous. Instead of the tag titles which have been a waste of time, I'd much rather have had a women's world title and women's intercontinental title. EXACTLY! The women's division needs midcarders and jobbers, too.

She wasn’t “risking her life” in that talking segment. I mean... I get it. But she’s still wrong. These fans want to be entertained. I can’t speak for the everyone but the majority of them don’t care about your sacrifices. If they think you suck, they’re not gonna say “Well... it’s not easy to do what she does.”

I can respect how hard you work and think your match sucks at the same time. I respect Jinder Mahal for how hard he works, but that doesn't mean I want to watch him wrestle.

Sounds like a bit of entitlement thing going considering she wasn't even in 3/4 of the match The E in WWE stands for Entitlement now.
