It ain't looking too good with him in his 40s, a concussion and rumors about his health going back a few years, Cersaro getting the singles push and new music as well (although I did note 'the bar' mouthguard he uses).
Great career, in the history books as first Irish champ (no Vince no matter how much you get the announcers to call him "first Irish born champ" you don't count), not short of cash I'd wager and a movie career to look forward to, I just wonder if he'll get a final run for some up and comer to 'kill him off' it would be decent symmetry as he made his bones by throwing Jamie Noble into retirement. Maybe a debuting Undisputed Era can do a beat down (bonus points if they get the same ringside fan to yell "kill him some more big bay bay" as the deed happens) and he can head off to Hollywood leaving Cersaro with some new targets to go after for revenge.
Interesting as he's not really a big enough star to get the HBK/Flair retirement angle but too much of a star to simply disappear without a word when the company likes him.
A good chance of a HOF pick in the next five years when they have a space that needs filling.

Last I saw, he was posting pictures of himself on social media, looking ridiculously shredded. If he can't wrestle any more, I imagine the WWE will keep him around as a backstage guy. He seems popular and doesn't appear to have any sort of ego.

I never liked him as a wrestler but he seems like a nice guy. I like his positive attitude. He can probably just become a trainer since he's into the work out stuff on his youtube channel which seems to be doing pretty well.

I believe he has been out with a concussion. Last year he was suffering from spinal stenosis. It may be that he is taking time off to heal his body. I suppose it is possible that he may not return, kind of like how Christian quietly retired following multiple concussions. Yes, she's in great shape and does a youtube show about his workouts.

He's a good guy. Those Celtic Warrior workout videos are giving guys and girls in the back the kind of much needed exposure that WWE is unable to give them on their own program. So kudos to him for that.

I wouldn't be surprised if he calls it a career. I've read that his neck has been in bad shape for quite some time. From all accounts, he's very well-liked backstage and I think he'll be kept around in some capacity, possibly as a road agent or a trainer, if this is it for him. I think he can help out in either role because there are very few things he hasn't done in the WWE.

Love Sheamus and would be gutted if his career is over, def a hall of famer and an underrated worker, has had quite a lot of good moments throughout his career so i hope he will return if health allows him.

They booked him like crap when he was a singles competitor, but if there's one thing the team with Cesaro did, it's remind people how good of a worker he's always been. I'd like to see him back as Cesaro's manager.

He didn't really interest me as a wrestler, but he seems really entertaining in real life. I wouldn't mind him getting a try on commentary.

His final match should be against Cesaro.

I always had a soft spot for Sheamus. He was never going to be a worker on the level of, say, Bret Hart, or Daniel Bryan, or Randy Savage... but if you're a big fan of dudes laying their shit in and giving you a Bruiser Brody style brawl, Sheamus is probably the best in the company at that.
I'd love to see 2012 era Sheamus have an absolute car crash of a match with guys who also work best in heavy hitters, like Reigns, Lesnar, etc.

Sheamus is very underated in-ring.
He won nearly everything there is to win and he is charasmatic but I can't help but feel he could have been so much better if WWE booked him properly.

Sheamus is one of the only people in the world who can pull this off.

Good chance he may do a Farewall match or speech when WWE goes to Dublin in November.
