Edit: No problem with a finisher becoming a regular move, but just how often it's happening even for a regular move.
Shawn Michaels' superkick was my favourite move. It since became so routine a move that I felt more apathetic to see that familiar bended leg than even for a random punch. Now I feel like pulling my hair out every time I see yet another one within as many shows, matches or even moves.
Johnny Gargano just hit at least 4 variants within a 10 minute brawl.
If I didn't see another one for a whole year, it'd be too soon.
Can we please at least cut far, far back on superkicks?
Has this ever happened with a move before? I know the DDT was a finish, but even that doesn't seem as prevalent since. Which other moves became cool on the indies and multiplied this much?

I must admit, whilst I'm not too bothered about the superkicks because everyone does them now, I'm not a fan of Ziggler tuning up the band before his one.

Nah. It's just a kick, the fact that someone used it as a finisher 20 years ago shouldn't stop anyone else from using it. It'd be like banning punches during matches because Big Show had a punch as a finisher for a few years.

The Bucks come across this thread and add at least 50 more superkicks to their next match.

It really doesn’t bother me. If you stay in kayfabe, it’s a quick high-impact move that isn’t difficult for guys of most size to pull off. It makes sense why a bunch of people want to learn one.
Also.... they look good!
Then you can say it isn’t a match ender anymore because no one has MASTERED IT like HBK did.

I don't really mind it. A finish is a finish, even if someone else does the move.

Superkicks being thrown like they're just a natural thing that humans do is one of the worst things about modern wrestling. I honestly stopped watching Takeover shows cause of the amount of dudes using the exact same offense, goofy ass superkicks included.

I should clarify I'm not bothered by the fact that it's a finish turned regular move, but just how the sheer volume of them has multiplied so quickly.
If it were more gradual, that'd be one thing. But it seems over the last few years they've increased exponentially and it feels really transparent that it's just because it's trendy for an 'awesome match.'

I’d rather ban dives to the outside where someone gets their should grazed by the diving wrestler, sells like death for about 30 seconds & then both go right back to the match.

I love a good superkick. I don't mind it being a random move being thrown into the middle of a match. I mean, considering it's mainly likened to Shawn Michaels and he started using it as just another move in his repertoire, it's kind of taking the move back to its roots.

Yeah, it's a bummer seeing the superkick turn into the next DDT ie, a move that SHOULD be a match ender, turned into just another transition.

Ok, here's what I don't get why does everyone think of the superkick as HBK's finisher? Everyone knows his best finisher was the teardrop suplex.

You can add in any over the top or through the rope dive, "super" versions of moves off the inside second turnbuckle, apron spots, springboard moves, and about 99% of the other kicks to that list too.
They can have a little meeting and decide who gets to do it.
