If they were match ending finishers like Shawn's, I'd probably argue that you're right. But unless you're HBK it's just another move, so I'm fine with it.

Michaels used to spam his as a transitional move pretty much up until his main event push.
I think being an older fan and a fan of wrestling outside of just the WWE where I've seen it used for decades to varying degrees (transitional, signature, finisher) by literally hundreds of people, I really don't mind it.
The only thing I have contention with is what someone else said in here, Ziggler "tuning up the band" before doing it for his. I don't even think his looks particularly bad, but I find it really cheap of him to invoke the imagery of HBK. Especially because I recall a Big Show radio interview at one point (this had to be like six years ago now?) specifically name dropping Ziggler and saying he personally told Ziggler it's disrespectful to do the tuning up the band bit and to not do it anymore if he's going to do the superkick at all.

Hot take: the Steviekick > Sweet Chin Music. All I remember about the Steviekick is in the old Smackdown games he fell over either to his knees or all fours after hitting it. Lol

Superkicks being thrown like they're just a natural thing that humans do is one of the worst things about modern wrestling. I honestly stopped watching Takeover shows cause of the amount of dudes using the exact same offense, goofy ass superkicks included. For real. I still like Takeovers but the amount of thigh slap kicks and strikes is out of control. Especially when they're sold by slightly rocking your head back like you were gently slapped or something when you were just KICKED IN THE FACE. That's not even to mention taking like 5 kicks in the face in a row and then striking back with your OWN super kick or whatever before you both fall down.

Ok, here's what I don't get why does everyone think of the superkick as HBK's finisher? Everyone knows his best finisher was the teardrop suplex. That was his finisher in Royal Rumble for SNES and Genesis.
