I don't follow baseball, do the Yankees work with murderous regimes for millions of dollars in blood money or openly celebrate and reward racists, convicted rapists and accused murderers? And someone tell Seth that Chyna was a believable opponent for men twenty years ago, and Lita was taking stiff chair shots from Steve Austin around that time as well. Plus Sable beating up Marc Mero on the regular, Stephanie taking every finisher from every top star, etc. Women are definitely treated better as a whole today (on TV at least) but he went full on Steph McMahon with the women’s evolution stuff there. The women were always presented as tough until the 2000’s when it became a casting couch for Johnny Ace to hire bikini models instead of wrestlers: Yeah, this was common for damn near all companies years ago (though not always needed or desired). Hell, it's been common for a lot of Indies before WWE got slapped in the face by fans and talent on Twitter. Credit to Seth for towing the company line but it'd help if past was not so easy to find and he wasn't so neanderthal prior to signing his WWE deal.

I came in here thinking he literally compared WWE to those rap labels ans was kind of excited to read that interview. That would have made me like him more. As it is they should just turn him Heel if he's going to keep doing stuff like this If there's one white guy on the roster to make those references it'd be AJ Styles.

Maybe not the best look to try and get a rise out of posters for the simple sake of high horsing them afterwards. I'm allergic to horses, I can't be on a high horse

WWE is more like the New York Knicks, tbh. Both make enormous amounts of money, but are seen as laughingstocks in their respective fields.

If the company really thinks that people are ani-WWE because it's "cool" and not because the shows f***ing suck, then they have their heads even further up their asses than I thought.

Actually Id say that the NY Yankees was a racist organization. They were one of the last baseball teams to intergrate minority players.

I don't think he quite understands that the criticisms against WWE have been little to nothing to do with the on-air talent. For the most part, people seem to agree that many of them are great, him most definitely included. It's just bad writing, bad stories, and things of that nature. Most of the problem is Vince, who was once actually pretty good as his job. He just lost it with age and doesn't get the fans anymore.

Whereas with AEW's bosses, they're closer in age to most of the talent there, and share the same interests as them (video games and comic books, for example).

As scummy of decisions as wwe makes, let’s not act like a lot of these sports organizations/other corporations are much better. Unfortunately when you reach a level that big, you can do all the scummy shit you want and people will still give you business. Like do you think Amazon would lose business if they did a deal with the saudis?

But no one celebrates George Weiss today, not even the Yankees.

Most important of all, the same social views.

Seth just takes it personally. Reminds me of when Shia talked shit about Spielberg and Indiana Jones kingdom of the crystal skull. Harrison Fords response: “I think he was a f***ing idiot. As an actor, I think it’s my obligation to support the film without making a complete ass of myself. Shia is ambitious, attentive, and talented – and he’s learning how to deal with a situation which is very unique and difficult.” Keep in mind, you don’t gotta be fake, throw accusations or straight up lie/boast to support a product. Someone like Moxley did it well by keeping it to himself (until leaving) and doing his job.

He’s been ushered aside and given pr training right? This is blatant damage limitations, the new edgy but corporate approves Rollins that’s about as tone deaf and out of touch as tjps gimmick
