Been on a 1998/99 kick and one week Jackyll is coming to the ring with the acolytes as they wreck the job squad and soon after another week we see them kidnapping the soon to be mideon and later on he’s sacrificed to the ministry.. I don’t recall growing up them explaining how Taker got the acolytes from him. Was it ever explained what happened to him? Taker use his Taker knife and off him and steal the Acolytes from him?

The Jackyll missed his Ministry induction day because adorable scamps Matt and Jeff Hardy put toothpicks in his car's locks

Was Callous callous to Callis? You’ve been waiting your entire life to use that line, haven’t you?

Taker condemned him to the worst corner of hell possible, working with Josh Mathews

Follow the money...
Acolytes dump Jackyll for the Ministry. The Ministry is ultimately controlled by Vince. Ergo Vince paid off Bradshaw.
Making JBL's financial motivations one of wrestling's greatest points of continuity.

He took Jackyl on a desert excursion like the Big Show, but Jackyl came back only wearing the lizard boots and had no snake neck tie so Taker sacrificed him.

Side note: I think there was a LOT of life left in the Jackyll as a manager. Dude had a good look, could talk, understood the character. I was bummed out when he stopped appearing, and then super happy when he was on ECW as Cyrus.

Every account I've read makes it seem like he got on the wrong side of the Wrestler's Court d-bags and they just bullied him and shit-talked him to the office until they succeeded in getting him fired. In interviews he seems like an OK guy.

If Undertaker sacrificed Jackyll does that mean he's "headed for destruction"?

In interviews he seems like an OK guy. I remember Callis explaining on Jericho's podcast that Vince was upset with him for not joining creative as well. Apparently around the time the Truth Commission dissolved and Callis was only managing Kurrgan he was frustrated at not being given anything to do. So he wrote four weeks worth of potential storylines and things for Kurrgan to do and presented it to Vince. Vince immediately offered Callis a position on creative who turned it down because he didn't want to add to stop being an on-air performer. Vince kept on him about it until finally souring on him which began his slow decline in the company.
