Clemson and Alabama will be in the BCS Playoffs. Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Washington will battle for the last two spots.

Iowa will pretend like they are good when they beat a team like Ohio State or Michigan... then follow it up with a 20+ point loss to Purdon't or Indiana

I'm hoping for a decent season for Nebraska. Like 8-4 possibly.

Where will UCF be ranked in the pre-season polls and why will it be below 15th?

Where will UCF be ranked in the pre-season polls and why will it be below 15th? And on the opposite side of the spectrum, Where will Notre Dame be ranked in the pre-season poll and why will it be ahead of a dozen better teams? Yes, I know the answer. Doesn't mean I don't like the ask the question

Pre-season polls are stupid to begin with.

Pre-season polls are stupid to begin with. Regarding your mention of Notre Dame's talent... my longstanding theory has always been that if Notre Dame looks at a guy he automatically gain's 1 star. So they have a team packed with 4-5 star recruits that are in reality 3-4 stars. Which is why they are normally good/great but get rolled by teams that have real 4-5 star guys.

Haha, every damn year. They start 3rd-8th, end 18th-unranked. I would say that they have talent this year, but that's always the perception. Pre-season polls are stupid to begin with. They've been preseason ranked 3rd-8th exactly zero times since 2010. Their highest was 2016 at 10th when they lost to Texas 50-47 where Texas was back! ND finished 4-8, Texas finished 5-7. They've been ranked lower than I thought, but still top 11 four times in the coaches preseason poll since 2013, and this year would make 5 times in the last 7 seasons. And it's probably a better than average chance they make it this year as well. Not to mention they could beat the SCLSU Mud Dogs week one and jump up the polls. You can tell by the smaller programs glacial climb into (and often not into) the top 6 could be, but it never is for some programs..... Also, I remember that game and it was sloppy but also kind of a classic.

You can tell by the smaller programs glacial climb into (and often not into) the top 6 could be, but it never is for some programs..... Also, I remember that game and it was sloppy but also kind of a classic. I always forget about the coaches' poll. My info was from AP. Even with that, the only AWFUL preseason ranking for ND was 2016, when they went 4-8. 2013 wasn't super great, but they did go 9-4. 2015 they started 11th, went 10-3 with losses to Clemson, Stanford, and Ohio State. 2018 they started 11th and went 12-1 with a loss to Clemson. That game was awesome at the time, got less awesome as the season went on for both teams, and now is still a fun game but MAN did it end up having zero relevance by the end of that year. Couldn't even help Charlie Strong keep his job. Yeah, I'm not trying to be a ND hater. I'm actually kinda partial to them, despite the fact that they disappoint in almost every big game this century. But people do seem to want them to be ranked highly. Which I didn't have a problem with in the mid-00s because the Michigan, Michigan St, USC, Stanford games made for a legitimate schedule, but lately their schedule has been a little soft. But that's not entirely on them, it's not being in a conference and not a lot of Power 5 schools want to throw that game on their OOC schedule. And booking games years in advance, you never know who is going to be good and when.

Less than 4 weeks away from the season opener on the 24th. Sadly Miami's schedule again gives them their toughest game in week 1, the only real match-up of the abbreviated week 1. Hopefully week 1 and subsequent weeks go better than that LSU ass-kicking and QB carousel last year.

I think the SEC comes down to - shock - Bama and UGA again.
Iβve read a couple of previews now that are particularly bullish on South Carolina to the tune of 10 wins this season, but I canβt see them being better than the Gators or Missouri.
Iβll go UGA, Mizzou and Florida as the top three in the East and Bama, LSU and TAMU in the West.

The title is going to Alabama or Clemson for the forseeable future until it doesn't.
As long as Ohio State doesn't win it I'm happy.

Keep them off the radar, and work their way up the ladder. 8-4 hopefully this season.
