I have to get to the marvels eventually, so this is gonna be a general point. With the room they have to try new things and explore different characters, universes, etc, it wouldn't hurt to give other shows and people a chance to run the offense every now and then Not seen the Marvels but found the character by far the most dull part of Wandavision so not considering that any great loss. Didn't really have anything against the character but that's just because she wasn't interesting enough to dislike.

I mean the only real project they could have done was her in the alternate reality hanging out with alternate mom and the X-Men. I doubt they’re paying out the wazoo for all those cameos.

"Need to" in the sense that it is a pivotal building block in the greater MCU? Not really. Hell, I'll be surprised if it's necessary viewing for Born Again, despite starring at least two of the characters in that show. That said, it's a decent enough show. I liked it.

Can’t seem to find the Cap 4 thread for some reason so I’ll post here. Kind of hilarious that Brave New World toys are already hitting Happy Meals since they didn’t postpone them like the movie. The picture is already out there but it’s hilarious they just threw the huge spoiler toys out there. {Spoiler}Because Red Hulk and all that jazz.

Less than The Flash. Yeah, I enjoyed The Marvels. It was a fun little side story of the MCU. Everything enjoyable in that movie, which is pretty much the acting and character interactions, could've been accomplished for considerably less then $270 million USD. Which is just an arrogant and insane amount of money to spend on this movie. Just foolish to make that movie with that budget, absolutely could've hammered out a story that only cost 40-50% of that and still accomplished the same important storybeats. The core theme of the movie was the relationship between the 3 women, the actual conflict with the villain was fairly secondary. You absolutely could've done this considerably cheaper.

I’m on vacation in Hawaii right now and saw them yesterday at McDonald’s. I was shocked. I didn’t know if Hawaii got them way earlier or what ha.

That is a major flaw with Disney and Marvel movies anymore, they go way way over budget and spending that it's almost impossible to make it back and turn a profit. And like you said, no way should that cost that much.
And apparently the live action Snow White released next year is 300 million which you have to seriously ask what on Earth are they spending on for it. You could make a decent looking film with just one percent of that.

I hear most of the budget for The Marvels went to pay for copious amounts of catnip.

I should probably check out Daredevil and the related shows.
I think I watched the first 2 seasons of Daredevil, but nothing else from those Netflix series.
Anyone have any opinions on which are worth watching?

Anyone have any opinions on which are worth watching? Daredevil all 3 seasons are good The Punisher Season 1 was good, haven't seen 2 Luke Cage first half of season 1 is great, second half is okay. Didn't see Season 2 Jessica Jones the first season is probably the best of all the Defender seasons, don't remember watching the second Iron Fist season 1 sucked, didn't see season 2 The Defenders sucked

Better than the second half of S1, not as good as the first half of S1. Punisher S2 is damn good. Jessica Jones S2 is skippable. S3 of Jessica Jones (DD and JJ are the only shows with three seasons) was only ok, though Hellcat added an interesting dynamic. Iron Fist S2 was better than S1, but that's an incredibly low bar. Still skippable.

The saddest part with all the netflix shows was that Iron Fist season one was such hot trash that it took me months to get around to season two which was actually pretty good. What made it worse was the direction it seemed to be going at the end of season 2 and then Netflix started cancelling everything. No season 3 Iron Fist.
Also, I really wanted a season of Luke Cage that ended on a high note.

i just gotta point it out since i read it earlier
2008: 2 movies - Iron Man - The Incredible Hulk
2010: 1 movie - Iron Man 2
2011: 2 movies - Thor - Captain America: The First Avenger
2012: 1 movie - The Avengers
2013: 2 movies - Iron Man 3 - Thor: The Dark World
2014: 2 movies - Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Guardians of the Galaxy
2015: 2 movies - Avengers: Age of Ultron - Ant-Man
2016: 2 movies - Captain America: Civil War - Doctor Strange
2017: 3 movies - Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2 - Spider-Man: Homecoming [released by Sony] - Thor: Ragnarok
2018: 3 movies - Black Panther - Avengers: Infinity War - Ant-Man and the Wasp
2019: 3 movies - Captain Marvel - Avengers: Endgame - Spider-Man: Far from Home [released by Sony]
2020: 0 movies
2021: 4 movies - Black Widow [originally scheduled to be released in 2020, pushed back due to pandemic] - Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings - Eternals - Spider-Man: No Way Home [released by Sony]
2022: 3 movies - Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - Thor: Love and Thunder - Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
2023: 3 movies - Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania - Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 - The Marvels
2024: 1 movie - Deadpool & Wolverine
the only time four MCU movies were released in a year was in 2021, and that was by accident (and one of the four was a Sony movie). so i can't tell if he's bullshitting to appease investors and their movie output isn't going to change, or if he's actually that out of touch with one of the major arms of Disney for the past ten years

I’m doubling and tripling down that if Thunderbolts* is just going to half ass use the T-Bolts name to secretly just be the Dark Avengers then Kevin Feige can eat twelve bags of D’s. Thunderbolts at its core and original essence is an awesome idea to explore in a post-Endgame world.
A new team of superheroes arrives to steal the hearts of a world where the Avengers love has died down a bit post-Thanos. Unbeknownst to them it’s a team of villains masquerading as heroes led by Baron Zemo and General Ross is pulling the strings naturally leading to the name. I keep saying if done right you can have a trilogy leading from their transition from villains to heroes with each one led by a different comics leader…Zemo, Winter Soldier and Hawkeye.
