Whoooooa that looks awful. Atleast the roster is hilarious. Without a direct partnership with a company, who do you think they should get who wouldn’t be “hilarious”? I took it to be more like that Road Warrior Hawk versus Colt Cabana, etc, was a wacky contrast, but I may be reading their post differently than their intended point.

It just kind of tickles me that someone decided to make a wrestling game where, no CAWs needed, you can do ZSJ vs. Hollywood Nova. They should run a show to promote the game and have this be the main event.

Maybe, but coming right after a line saying the game looks awful, it’s tough not to see it as a dig at their roster as well.

Its a clone of a classic arcade game & that they can even get any real world wrestlers instead of going with made-up knock offs is impressive. Right, they are definitely going for the arcade-y, which is kind of nice, given Fire Pro and the WWE series are both much more geared towards simulation. There’s a way to go for arcade-y without it looking cheap as hell. That pixel Minecraft looking wrestling game looks better than this. I just think the roster is funny for how weird it is. Stevie Richards mentioned in the same breath as the Road Warriors. Its just a weird ass mix of people. Its like hitting random for your roster on EWR

Steiners would be a fun touch, maybe a Sid-type. If they do, though, I hope for retro looks. Neon singlet Scott with the Dave Meltzer mullet, please. Me neither, but different strokes, I guess. They were going for something reminiscent of the old school WWF arcade games, and I think they're in the right ballpark.

Yeah, my immediate impression was of the old Genesis/SNES games, which were of.....let's be kind and say middling quality, but hit a HUGE nostalgia button in my brain, so I was on board immediately.

Admittedly have my doubts this is going to be any sort of success given that Wrestlfest remake everyone immediately forgot existed that never got its 360 port.

I’ve played Wrestlefest and Superstars to death. The sprite work in this is pretty flat and the animations don’t have half the personality of those games.

The Switch definitely lacks a good wrestling game. Looking forward to this, hoping it can add more guys from the territory days along with guys from Japan, Mexico and UK.
Keep it under $40 and I’ll buy.
Still holding out hope for a Fire Pro someday. Haven’t played one since I owned a PS2.

I think the Wrestlefest formula is a good one for the switch, especially if you are on the go.
I hope that they both sign a good deal of existing wrestlers and legends as well as have a deep CAW.
Also one of my favorite things is being able to edit the existing roster in games especially if the roster is made up of knock off wrestlers.

Animal 3. Stevie Richards 4. Blue Meanie 5. Hollywood Nova 6. Colt Cabana 7. Zack Sabre Jr. Are they going to get any AEW guys? It doesn’t sound like it. Also, Zack still has a contract with NJPW, right? Weird he is the only NJPW guy announced so far. Maybe his contract is expiring or it has different terms. Otherwise you’d figure they’d be all over Okada, Naito, Tanahashi, etc.

Unless this thing's dirt cheap I can't see it managing to be a success if that's what it's launching with. No CAWs and a paper thin roster are pretty huge barriers to entry to the general audience I'd imagine.

The lack of CAW is mind boggling though. It would be one thing if it was just a bare minimum or crappy CAW. But no CAW at all in 2019 is crazy.
