Pentagon sure held back against the women he has went to war with I'm just envisioning this being played without any context on some sleazy interview show with Vince McMahon as a guest if this were to happen in WWE. I mean, you know full well after some past stuff, the only place Vince would do an interview is with an NBC chat show that would be told not to talk about any of that stuff since they're part of the family.

On the flip side, the only interviews he's really done since then was a Late Night with Conan O'Brien interview and the glowing Variety one from earlier this year. I mean, if he's on with Seth Meyers maybe but I can't see someone like Fallon going "Hey, remember that time Baron Corbin beat up Becky? We have a clip!"

I do not want to get too political, but given who Vince McMahon's wife is and the position and associations that she currently has, I think that is actually far more likely than you think.

I mean, Vince seems like he's got a much better manager for this stuff at times. Especially considering the only places Vince would go to probably don't care about any of that stuff. Fallon's had HHH and Steph on the show and he wasn't exactly going to go "Haha, hey, remember that time you and Stone Cold Steve Austin beat the piss out of Lita in 2001? Good times, here's a clip!"

It's all in the presentation.
Having a smaller woman/male wrestler matching big power move for move, punching out a bigger guy is somewhat dumb. Them outwrestling/smarting a a bigger opponent can be all kinds of fun.

I remember everyone panting after 'Kneelift' then she made a thread with pictures of her about being the Women's Champion and doing the 'strong, sexy, powerful' poses, or whatever their catchphrase was at the time. Even more hilarious in hindsight. The crude humour and sexism were definitely worse then, but I do think people were less prone to going straight to the nuclear option when they disagreed with someone else. But again, it was years ago, so I for sure could be misremembering. (And I wasn't a mod, who would have seen the worst of it.) And to me, the bolded part is what I'm getting at. The user-on-user disagreements seem a lot more vicious to me. I consider that to a separate metric from how sexist people were about woman wrestlers back then compared to now. You only think that because most of the straight insult options are removed, so people are forced to write mini essays and pour feeling + subtlety into insults now.
