Does anybody enjoy Maximum Carnage enough to cause a problem over using the title? I think it might be top 5 worst comics ive ever read

Interesting, I like the game but yeah the TPB I just remember thinking was worthless. Still excited about the film though, been waiting for Carnage for a long long while.

Maybe they're planning on the name for a sequel? Only thing I can figure. The name is right there to use. The only way you really save that name is if you are going to use it for SpidermanMy worry is they are going to blow their load and do a Maximum Carnage story now That’s probably what ideally Sony wants.

Probably more so what Marvel/Disney would want too Spiderman is in the perfect position to have a lot of key moments for this next phase and be a key leader considering his age for years to come

Yeah. I guess. I’m not one to tout MCU too much but ever since they “made peace” with Sony, I cant see them wanting the character too involved with Venom, Carnage, Morbius, Shriek, whatever the f*** else they have planned. And that’s pending the success rate of this film and Morbius.

Oh yeah without question it would have to fall in their lap as opposed to them planning for it If Venom 2 and Morbius become box office hits then Sony will continue to do what they want and probably feel bold enough again next time to threaten to take Spidey away again If MCU are to Maximum Carnage, it is on their time but it all depends on how things go with the next Sony movies

I guess maybe since Maximum Carnage is a specific story, and if they are deviating from that, they wouldn't want the backlash. Aside from having Ultron, the comics and movie versions of Age of Ultron had very little to do with each other. Infinity War the movie was a very loose adaptation of "The Thanos Quest" and "The Infinity Gauntlet" and had nothing in common with the plot of "Infinity War" the comic, aside from certain characters appearing in both. This is just some Sony film exec thinking "I can come up with a better title than those NERDS!", I betcha. Civil War the movie had nothing in common with the comics save for Cap and Tony were at odds with each other. Why they wouldn't just go ahead and call it Maximum Carnage is a little befuddling. Yea, like it is a cool name and leaves things up the imagination for people who don't know Also get Woody a better damn wig NO! THE BEST WORST WIG IN MOVIES MUST STAY FOREVER!

I'd point out that he's dead but that didn't stop the director of the first movie

It had the crux of the argument intact, how bast to handle accountability, so I think it was close enough. That, and the comic was dogshit that left Tony Stark an irredeemably unpopular character until the movies saved him, so like most Mark Millar-penned stories, movies had to clean up the mess and keep the bits that worked.

Yeah, when I typed that somehow I forgot about like the entire beginning of the movie and the Sokovia accords... because the schism between the two ultimately ended with Bucky.
