They should make my sequel idea, Kevin is an adult now and opts to stay at home rather than go to Uncle Frank's funeral That's f***ing brilliant.

It'll probably be better than the other 3 sequels.
Low bar, I know.

So is Culkin going to take on the role in the first movie of the scary neighbor with a heart of gold? The church scene with the neighbor with a heart of gold is underrated. Well written, well shot. It's the only real good part of a very popular movie, and it feels forgotten.

Apparently, they're also rebooting Cheaper By the Dozen, Night at the Museum, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. That last one confuses me, as it was relatively recent (wonder if they'll get to Rowley's book, which reveals Greg's true nature).

Is there anything they won't remake? Song of the South There have been attempts, never getting out of the planning stage. Morgan Freeman was attached for a while supposedly.

He also directed Real Steel, The Internship, Date Night and various episodes of Stranger Things. Shawn Levy's a weird director.

Is there anything they won't remake? Song of the South Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah being the Disney "theme" while SOTS was UnPersoned = people using the Crossface in WWE.

Knowing Disney, more likely they will have an older Kevin, but you see him only at the end of the movie. This "new" film will be about a girl protagonist and will suspiciously follow the 1990 movie with little differences. And Buzz is killed by the new burglar who is obsessed with restarting what Harry and Marv began. Call his gang the "Wet Order" if you will.

Home Alone was a Fox film. Huh. Before today, I honestly thought it was Sony/Columbia.

There was a Home Alone 4 and 5? Yep. 4 was originally meant to be a pilot for a series. (Where the Mccallisters have divorced and only Kevin was seen...) 5 was a made for TV Christmas movie. Red Letter Media watched 4 a little while ago on a Best of the Worst episode with some Culkin guy >_>

Also a ton of the traps will be app based and Kevin will be real handy with technology. He’s gonna livestream it all and rather than people believing they’re watching a serial killer training, he’s a delightful viral sensation.

Then when Disney inevitably buys out WB, Kevin gets to meet Fred Jones.

I mean, the Home Alone plot is high up there for "old plots that can be solved easily with a cell phone". A modern version just wouldn't work.
