When the original voice is Ricardo f***ing Montalban, it's always going to be downhill from there. In Bane's case, he was originally Henry Silva on TAS, actually. DID Montalban portray anyone on TAS? I coulda swore it was Montalban. Guess I was wrong, nothing to see here.

Frank Welker as Garfield. Just sounds like bored Fred. Here's one...LINDA FEIGE AS MELISSA in The Raccoons. Susan Roman was a LOT better at what they were going for with the character in the series. On the latter's topic, if you saw the Raccoons series before the specials, Rita Coolidge and especially Dottie West Melissa can be really jarring. As for underwhelming Jokers, there's the Young Justice version.

Matt Vogel, the current Kermit the Frog voice, sounds almost nothing like Kermit. I'm surprised they went with him, since a really good Kermit impression is not hard to find. Frank Welker as Garfield. Just sounds like bored Fred. This is always going to be a tough one since I can't even possibly imagine anyone besides Lorenzo Music as Garfield. It would help if it wasn't such a recognizable voice that made you say "hey, that's Frank Welker," though.

I feel like a monster for saying this, but something about Michael Ironside's Darkseid is...................................pause for the Darkseid Is reference .......................just ok? I mean, Ironside has a great voice but his calmer dialed back version didn't quite work for me.

She got better as she went (and the writing for her character improved), but I was just never feeling Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman on Justice League.

Then again my bar has been lowered since Jim Henson's passing. Who does Ernie on Sesame Street now? He would have been a good fit. Now...Want to hear a more wrong sounding Vogel voice? Two words: BIG BIRD.

The original dub voice for Xellos in Slayers was atrocious. The series otherwise had a solid dub, but man did Xellos' VA suck. Funimation replaced him with Michael Sinterniklaas when they acquired the license, and he's a vast improvement. This one made me so angry. Xellos was one of my favorite anime characters of all time, and then here comes David Moo. It’s like: You’re playing a mysterious being who loves trolling the heroes and acting the fool even though you’re powerful enough to wipe them all off the face of the planet with one hand, why would you decide to make him sound like Bob from next door?

Pre-emptive: whoever replaces Charles Martinet.
Current example: Rutger Hauer as Master Xehanort in KH3. With all due respect to the departed, he never came close to matching the energy of Lenard Nimoy. Christopher Lloyd was a huge upgrade & I wonder why Square didn't just cast him first.

You know, I feel bad for David Moo.
Because basically his entire voice acting career went down the drain after he turned Sanji into a Brooklynite with a head cold in the 4kids dub of One Piece.

Obscure but I was not expecting Kombu Infinity (The seaweed monster) from one punch man to be quite so high pitched and feminine.

Oh this thread is back.
OK in “Star Wars: Resistance” there is a character voiced by Josh Brener ... and it just sounds like Tobias from Arrested Development is voicing the character... not David Cross.. Tobias Funke the character himself.

I never thought Raven's (the wrestler) voice matched the character.
And in real life, Patrick Mahomes sounds like Kermit the Frog and it's always jarring.

there's no good reason at all for Maille Flanagan to continue voicing Naruto as a grown-ass man. especially when she's already voicing his son, too. this opinion also extends to the frankly baffling choice to have Goku voiced by the same woman who voiced him as a child as an adult in the original Japanese dub. it's actually one of the things that made me a hardcore dub-over-sub person permanently. I thought Amandar Celine-Miller was the voice of Boruto? My personal pick. Todd Haberkorn in everything post Fairy Tail. Not because of talent, but because I hate Natsu Dragneel so much I never want to hear his voice again.

James Spader is a fine actor, but his voice was a terrible choice for Ultron. Even more annoying when Paul Bettany did a pitch perfect job in the same movie.

Point still stands about grown-ass Naruto still sounding like a 12 year old girl.

I didn't mind his voice in Naruto, but he's in his 30s now he should sound like a man, and not a woman with a frog in her throat.

Temuera Morrison doing the voices of Boba Fett and the stormtroopers in the Star Wars OT now, He never did the stormtrooper voices in the OT even in the million different versions of the Special Editions. He just redubbed Boba Fett in the OT.
