I get random people, who start games with me, on words with friends. I don't know them, and they start conversations, wanting to know just about everything. When I don't reply, I figure some understand, but there are people who ask why I'm not giving them my blood type, pretty much. It's creepy. Sorry about that, but a guy never knows when he’s gonna need blood. I'm anemic. No one would benefit from my blood, lol.

Trust your instincts, it's usually your subconscious noticing red flags or figuring things out that you wouldn't be able to put into words.
That said, put me in the crowd that doesn't think meeting up for lunch is weird. I actually think it's a good option, given how alcohol based our socialising culture usually is.

I learned a long time ago to trust my gut instinct on people, and the fact that his messages to you seem to keep escalating in aggression/volume should be enough to keep you from feeling guilty for not jumping right in with him. I would've distanced myself early too.
