I'd heard just today they want to do a Clone Saga movie, which would require Peter.

Well, shit. Stupid stupid greedy Sony. Worse still, only one movie left on the current Marvel/Sony deal. I swear, Sony would rather have Spider-Man moribund and useless then share. Insane, given Homecoming and Far from Home basically saved Spider-Man. Stupid stupid stupid...

Yes, because Sony has been such a good steward of the brand over the last 12 years or so.
Yes, Holland is good in the role but the integration into the MCU really helps the brand. Yes, Sony will be trying to branch out on their own away from the MCU but that is a very risky venture.

On the one hand, the MCU/Sony partnership produced two really fun movies.
On the other hand, Sony all by their lonesome produced Into the Spider-Verse, which I actually prefer over both of those.
So...*shrug*

Spider-Verse is a vastly superior movie to both Homecoming and Far From Home. It has a far more recognisable Peter Parker than Holand's Tony Stark fanboy. And won an oscar to boot.
Venom proved Avi Arad still has a midas touch.
Their ego is entirely understandable.

Well, guess it's time to make Amazing Spider-Man 3! Said no one but Sony executives probably.
Sony's just lucky they lucked into an amazing animated franchise in Into the Spider-Verse or else this would be an even stupider idea than it already was.

I can’t even define how salty I am right now. Marvel fixed Spider-Man, finally gave me movies I wanted to see and could enjoy. But greed... greed from a financially unstable studio makes them think they can do it better. Why we can’t have nice things I guess.

Hmmm...on one hand they need Spidey to stop the Spidey-without-Spidey Universe nonsense. And Into the Spiderverse wasn't Marvel Studios proper.
But MCU involvement and input was helping the new live action films. I agree about that. Creatively...while the Maguire films were fine (up to 3), he didn't have ALL of Spider-Man's personality down pat. Marvel Studios fixed that. BUT....
On the other hand, one might argue that Marvel Studios made Peter into an Avengers fanboy and changed parts of his supporting cast (I won't describe some of them for fear of sparking further debates). And the best Sony movies got a lot of it right, IMO.
And if they make them really desperate (ask Fox), you know what that means...
Sony Pictures, A Disney Company...coming soon!!

Guessing that Spider Woman is going to take Spider Man's place in the MCU

Sony buying Disney is honestly more likely. It would never happen, but at least it's financially possible.
