The 100th regular season of the Green Bay Packers starts on Sunday night against (who else?) Chicago.
Fancy that, the 100th regular season of the National Football League starts with Green Bay against, who else, Chicago. The pro sport's most historic rivalry will be game #1 of 267 total of season 100 of the NFL. Since we're not playing "25th Anniversary of WrestleMania" rules here, only one team gets to actually say it's their 100th anniversary: The Green Bay Packers played their inaugural pro football game as a freelance club (not affiliated with any league) playing something called the Menominee North End A.C. on September 14th, 1919. Tonight, they travel to the home field of the Chicago Bears F.C. for American football action.
This Sunday & Monday, 30 other teams begin, or perhaps should I say the defending champion New England Patriots + 29 others that they hope to throw over the top rope, with both cleats touching the floor. So let's sit back in our collective armchair and see who plays in the 54th Raw Bowl 150 days from here.
