Mencia and Dane Cook....two of the most well known "joke thieves" around. Yet they're still amazingly popular.
I myself don't find either man funny, and in the case of Mencia, have to wonder if he would even HAVE a show had Dave Chappelle not bugged the wax out.

See, this is the problem I have with Mencia, he steals jokes and doesn't improve on the bit in any way. That's bad form. If you're gonna steal, then improve the bit. For example, the other night, I saw Comedy Central Presents: Ted Alexandro, and he basically stole a Michael Jackson bit wholesale from Dave Chappelle, but he improved upon it, and it was funnier than Chappelle's original bit, so I had no trouble with it.

But had there BEEN a third season of Chappelle, Mencia's jokes and racial skits would seem even more redundant and tired. I can't see his show making it if Chappelle's Show was still on.
And to tally things up:
-Joe Rogan has confronted Mencia about stolen material -Ari Shaffer has confronted Mencia about stealing from the "Amazing Racist" -George Lopez has confronted Mencia about Mencia ripping him off.....
And now this.....these radio station DJ's are the least credible out of the list, but it's not outside the realm of possibility that Carlos heard their show and swiped material from it.

I saw the commercial for the new season roughly 20,000 times, and I'm sure I've heard that camping joke before.

Carlos Mencia is like the Vanilla Ice of comedy-though to be fair, Ice lied about ripping off ONE song Well, two songs, but who's counting.

I keep picturing Krusty the Klown standing in a crowd with a pen and paper yelling "THAT'S GOLD!!"

Oddly enough, last month's MAD Magazine ran an article about Dane Cook stealing from Louis CK and the article had a cartoon of Dane in a trenchcoat, sitting in the audience at a Louis CK show, with a microphone and a tape recorder, going "This bit is GONNA KILL!" or somthing to that effect.

This one's rather old. Caught it on youtube a while back.
The freshest one I've seen is him blatantly ripping off the legend himself, Pudding Popper William Cosby.

Lame.
The first reason i hated this guy was because his show replaced Stella. He just keeps adding to the list.

You're right. If Chappelle's Show had continued for a full third season and beyond, then Mind of Mencia would have been cancelled after the first season. It might have survived to a second one, but if Dave Chappelle was still on Comedy Central, then Carlos Mencia wouldn't be.

The only reason Mencia even has a show is due to the post 9/11 comedy special he had, which was actually pretty damn good in that the message was needed at the time. Making fun of everyone and everything... in a time when people wondered what kind of humor was kosher, he had a good show which broke down the boundaries.
However, now... he's no longer needed for any purpose. Cancel the show and throw him to the wolves (other comedians) and see how long he survives.

I'd love to see Cosy, Carlin, Lewis Black and a few others get togather and kick his ass

Cosby's too busy being the male Oprah to involve himself in that.... he'd just enlist The Kings Of Comedy to do his bidding.
