That should be interesting. Though I don't usually watch NXT, I did go to Takeover 25. That show was AWESOME.

Worlds Collide was fun, interested in seeing how they figure this out

Now that it's a cable feature and not a network one, I wonder if TakeOver is going to get reduced to incorporate the brand on the main PPV cards more? God I hope not.

This could hopefully mean that Takeovers are now no longer tied to Big 4 (and MITB) PPV megaweekends. If they're going to make actually televised NXT work either need to start having them more regularly--maybe not monthly or anything but certainly on some kind of actually set schedule and flow--or put more effort into TV as the core storytelling component.

Worlds Collide was fun, interested in seeing how they figure this out Too bad the "WWE vs. NXT" show will once again be "WWE Jobbers vs. NXT Up and Comers" and it'll look unfortunate when a WWE Jobber that hasn't appeared in months manages to defeat the NXT Up and Comer.

Well, with NXT becoming a true 3rd brand, in theory they should have 10 superstars in each Rumble.

If they are running the Toyota Center with Worlds Collide instead of Takeover, they'll need something more substantial than main roster jobber vs. NXT midcarder.

Since this will be an official event, I doubt you're seeing jobbers. You might get a Luke Harper sighting in terms of a guy who hasn't been on TV and gets to show out but I expect a decent name on this event.

I’ve loved pretty much every single Takeover, but I did prefer the old days when they weren’t attached to WWE’s big PPVs.

That makes Survivor Series' sad branding even more inaccurate.

I'm almost certain the WWE has taken their shows off-schedule with the intention of figuring out AEW's PPV schedule and then directly competing for their buys at that time as well (whether it be NXT or NXT UK).

To rub salt into that wound: they don't necessarily need to sell the NXT shows on PPV either, just run them as "WWE Network Specials" for free. Sure, they don't make money off of the shows outside of subscriptions, but it still draws eyes away from AEW's setup.

And the takeover events expansion begins.... Yup, reading this gives me a bad feeling they’re going to monthly Takeovers

I've been thinking for a long time they need to do Takeovers more often than they do. Certainly not monthly, but there should be about eight a year - part of why weekly NXT is such a boring slog is because everything has to be in a holding pattern for ages, which is especially bad when you're doing the same match multiple Takeovers in a row.

Worlds Collide has been confirmed as a show pitting NXT against NXT UK, so that's right in the middle of NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool 2 and NXT Takeover: Portland.
