As always with ROH and women, I hope this will be a turning point, but they have had quality women under employ before that didn't do anything to change ROH's indifference to their women's division. So, I'm pessimistic on this, but would love to be wrong. Yeah, at some point they had Veda, Kimber Lee, Taeler, Karen Q, Deonna, Madison, Tenille, and they screwed it up, then they had Mayu and they screwed it up as well. Maria Manic has been a solid addition so far.

Hmmm. good on her if it means making more money and keeping the gimmick, but man...ROH is the last place I'd wanna be right now creatively.

Per Urban Dictionary, a Session Moth is an Irish woman who is a party animal, always up for drinking or fighting and other "craic". Martina drinks quite a lot, even during matches, and has an ever increasing (or sometimes decreasing) amount of children. Of which two she has accused me of fathering. So, it would be like someone else being called Drunk Bastard Beth?

I'll give ROH credit for trying to rebuild this division. They got behind the 8 ball and are trying to dig themselves out which isn't easy.
Could still do without Beautiful People 4.0 or whatever it is now. That is just laziness.

That’s a really nice signing for ROH but they’re still a sinking ship at this point. I’d rather Martina went to WWE or AEW but it’s her choice.

Deeply enjoying this from the angle that since ROH isn't booking any of the women on the roster anyway, signing with ROH is just a grift to get a working visa in the United States to work indies.

I can’t remember where I saw it (somewhere on Twitter) but I guess they ran two shows on two nights recently and had a combined 3 minutes of women’s wrestling over both nights? That’s insane.
The same post pointed out that Maria Manic has been signed since July and still has not wrestled a match for them yet. I can kind of see that, but I don’t know man.
The Women of Honor division has been the worst used division in wrestling over its entire lifespan.

To put it into perspective, if ROH really tries hard with Women of Honor, over a few months, if they really put their nose to the grindstone and get to work, with a lot of effort, time, and a bit of luck.... they can get the Women of Honor to the heights of WWE's women's tag division. Not either women's title. Just... the tag division.

So, what really went wrong with the Women of Honor division anyway? I remember thinking Tenille Dashwood as the inaugural champion was a no-brainer decision, but then Sumie Sakai held the title for a number of months for some reason, and then seemingly all the promising talent left, leaving us with Kelly Klein and the 44th rehash of the Beautiful People that no one except Bully Ray asked for.

It gets dumber than that. Madison Rayne suggested the BP reunion, and ROH said, "That's great. Only we want them and not you. Awesome, right?" So, the only angle they really even have going for the division, they couldn't even be bothered to come up with it. They had to steal it.

I knew about that, but I am so beyond sick of the Beautiful People in any capacity after their 5000 reunions in TNA that I'm not even acknowledging it as a worthwhile pursuit regardless of whether Madison Rayne is involved in the angle or not.

Oh, I've never been big on the stable, much less in what is at least, what, like the 6th time it's been put together? So, new member and name, "Allure", really does nothing to make it fresh. Still, before that, they had basically no attempt at an angle with the women for a while, so I don't know how much better off I'd call it before that.

That's a great opportunity to increase her stock in the US, and if ROH is still bungling their women in a few years time, or however long her contract is for, then she could have more of a chance of getting into NXT proper and not just the UK satelite, or maybe AEW or Impact. Looking at it that way, it's a good move.
