I just got done checking out a few matches and a couple highlight videos, and... Well, I'll just say that the fact that WWE offered her a contract is proof that the "women's revolution" is definitely dead. Terrible. Just because her main gimmick is comedy doesn't mean she's bad. You think Stardom would keep her around if she sucked? Like I said, I checked out some matches. They were not good. They were mostly stalling and working her gimmick. When she did actually attempt offense, it looked horrible and her timing sucks. She looks confused and telegraphs everything. I could call the spots before they happened based on her body language and positioning. Her bumps leave a lot to be desired as well. Also, with her offense, she's extremely limited. Even the highlight reels were basically the same 3 moves over and over: forearm, sloppy dives, and a tilt-a-whirl ddt. The only one that was even semi-impressive is that tilt-a-whirl ddt thing she does, which is actually more work for her opponent than her, so even it depends heavily on who she is working with. Gimmick-wise, she's as one dimensional as they come. "Girl who drinks and puts her ass on people" is barely even a gimmick, but it's all she's got going for her. I get how people can dig the party atmosphere that she creates (even if it's not for me), but unless she figures out a way to start adding some depth, it's going to wear out quickly. I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but right now, I just don't see it.

Clearly you and I disagree on the quality of her work, but the things you listed amount to more than some of the greats of all time did at times.

Like I said, it's a win/win for her. She gets American exposure, gets a working visa, keeps the gimmick, only lasts one year and she still gets to do STARDOM and OTT and if ROH turns around and rights the ship with the entire promotion, she can extend that beyond the year. But since that's not exactly likely right now, it's a better deal for her really.

And yet, she can't get John Cena to follow her on Twitter. She did last week. Not long after the ROH offer came in.

Good to know if NJPW gets a women's division Session Moth is going to be the ace Based on the photos that came out of Royal Quest weekend, she'd be SuzukiGun bound. The fact she grinded on him once and didn’t die was heroic enough, the fact she did it again and he grew to like it basically means she’s the new Zack Sabre Jr.

I think part of why Women of Honor never really took off was because of the "Women's Revolution". Now that WWE is taking women's wrestling seriously and genuinely trying to sign top tier ladies talents, ROH just can't compete with those salaries, thus any indy talent they bring in with any real potential is eventually gonna get offered an NXT developmental deal pretty quickly. Plus with AEW offering a genuine, big money alternative, and even Impact picking up their game in how they present their women, ROH is just left with really slim pickings. Hell, even on the men's side ROH is having this problem. They made their name on amazing indy talent that at the time the WWE just didn't think fit their look. Now the WWE is willing to sign just about any indy name with any notoriety whatsoever, leaving ROH with some really dodgy leftovers. Problem is there are so many ultra talented women out there who aren't on WWE's radar, either because they don't have 'the look'--see rumours of backstage officials complaining about how many 'not attractive neough' women were in the Mae Young Classic--or because WWE can't hire everybody, no way there's just no women they can do this with. AEW wasn't even a player when this started nad they were still giving the cold shoulder to a ton of top notch female workers on the scene. ROH are the ones who decided to half-ass it and focus the division around the girlfriends of people in management positions instead of even trying to make moves for major female names. The actual grabs like this are few and far between There is some great women on the indie scene. Like Alex Garcia,Ali Bama,Alejandro Lion,Rok-c and Hyan But WWE seems to be ignoring all the talent in the southern states.

Martina was the first talent they hired from Europe. Considering the hotbed Ireland is for talent even without the guys WWE signed alone...that sounds crazy to me.

You mean ROH? They don't even have a double digit number of women signed to deals. There's only one Canadian, too (Angelina Love). Yeah, that just sounds like lunacy to me. I'm not saying you even need a deep talent pool but there are plenty of talented women in Canada too.

Not even sure if it would be possible for AEW to get that situation fixed for her. I guess Impact might be an option, though.

I really don't understand how one could struggle with making a worthwhile women's division. Just treat it like you would a men's one, it isn't hard.
Maybe it's since it's ROH and they don't have anyone who's spent entirely too long with the belt they can default to to hold it for even longer.

In the past, they had Lacey (from Minnesota, not Von Erich), MsChif, Sara Del Rey, and Daizee Haze, but of course, ROH fizzled out on committing long-term to the division even back then because no one else was being built up besides them from what I could tell.
