Thank you. His podcasts are not wall-to-Wall bile, by any stretch of the imagination. No one has claimed that. Some of you are arguing points not even being presented. Yeh most people here will say Cornette main appeal is his podcasts and his microphone charisma.

I've spent like my last 10 post trying to provide the explanation about the whole argument about Cornette and his anger issues But once again, none of this about purely his podcast. Not one person is arguing that Cornette is going on his podcast to spew hateful remarks 24/7

The issue is that it happens often and that some of his comments even when not angered can be outdated and short sighted

Even during the Russo thing I was wondering why people found it hiliarious that he was threatening to kill Russo. Im not a fan of Russo but him being a ****** booker doesnt warrant that kind of hate. Also his podcasts in terms of historical and reviews are pretty good. Once he reaches someone he hates, he turns into angry Jim mode and he says a lot of stuff hed call others out for.

The Dairy Queen thing I've always found over the top and not in a funny way. The workers weren't right&the guy was right to be angry, but just going by the audio the dude took what should have been a minor frustration to the absolute extreme.
Just not fond of treating people that way, even if they're in the wrong. It doesn't do any good, and only really harms the person who's the most angry.

I think it's for a couple of reasons: 1) Attention, so he can gain podcast listeners 2) Passion about the business. Jim eats, sleeps, and shits pro wrestling. So he has a very specific idea of what pro wrestling is and doesn't like people in the business changing that. 3) Personal issues between Russo and Cornette. They didn't like each other in the WWF. Jim seems to blame Russo being behind his firing in TNA. 3) Anger issues.

Also speaking of Krispy Kreme and I'm going to on the record and say that their doughnuts are overrated and Dunkin' Donuts is vastly superior.

Cornette going on last week's podcast and agreeing to sell a "f*** Jim Cornette" shirt on his site and give the money to charity is a pretty good move.

I love Cornette. The f***ing guy is a total pissed off cartoon character which just amuses the hell out of me. He's like the George Carlin of wrestling.

The proceeds from the photocopies of the Russo restraining order went to the Crusade For Children, a local telethon/charitable organization in Louisville.

Same with the shirt with him pissing on Russo's grave.

Donating to charity also isn't a "get out of criticism free" card.

Talking shit without being able to take it is classic bully behavior 101. He's far from the only public figure who throws out tons of insults and is also incredibly thin-skinned. It's got nothing to do with being thin skinned. It's about shutting down somebody who is making money from using his image without his permission. Quite the opposite of being thin-skinned, I could actually see Cornette making his own anti-Cornette shirts after this. Well wouldn't you know who won the pony. Giving myself a self congratulatory pat on the back after predicting this over a week ago.

Carlin was way smarter than Cornette.
That's not much of a knock against Jim, Carlin was smarter than most.
But they're not in the same league.

Carlin was way smarter than Cornette. That's not much of a knock against Jim, Carlin was smarter than most. But they're not in the same league. The only things they had in common were their last names starting with "C," sharing some similar political views, and being fond of profanity. Otherwise, they were entirely different types of performers. And people.

I won't defend everything Jim Cornette says but at least his opinions and animosities are usually based on real-life people he's actually interacted with in a business he's been in for 30-odd years. He puts his opinion forcefully, maybe sometimes offensively. But it does seem odd seeing that criticised by of all groups of people wrestling fans, many of whom seem to think someone not putting someone over 20 years ago is reason enough to hate someone for the rest of our lives.
The hatred and animosity I see expressed by wrestling fans towards performers, bookers and promoters over the years that they've never so much as ever made eye contact with let alone met whilst at the same time gasping in horror at someone articulating their opinions on people they've actually met and worked with for a considerable period of time....I dunno it seems hypocritical.

There are a lot of hateful fans out there. When you see the same people popping up over and over to continually bury people in every thread that mentions them it tells me a lot more about them, not the person they’re hating on. I don’t care for Vince Russo. The threads on him were so bad at one time there was a ban on them. I met him once and he was very nice and respectful to me. I’m not a fan of his voice so I don’t listen to his podcast. I feel unqualified to speak on him anyway so I don’t. I think the worst thing I’ve said about him is you know he’s probably jealous that Heyman and Bischoff got the Raw and Smackdown gigs. I just don’t pay him any attention. I don’t like him but I don’t hate him either. I don’t care for golf so I don’t watch it. Problem solved. Jim Cornette plays a character and goes for laughs. Mostly to amuse himself at this point since he’s basically retired. People do love him for his routines. Some people lose their minds over him saying stuff like women should stay in the kitchen. If you actually listened to his podcast you’d hear him say he was doing the Andy Kaufman bit. His co-host tells him that some people take that seriously. Cornette cracks up and says let them. Those people make him laugh the hardest of all. It gives Cornette so much power over them. To control their emotions with such ease. The wrestling business had a lot of that power once. It’s sad when you see warnings being given out because people can’t stop referring to Dixie Carter as a dumb bitch. All that hatred really exposes a lot of people on the internet.

Again ,still if you are just pretending do be an asshole and attack people in character online.
You are still being an asshole that attacks people. You are hurting people and spreading hate so you will get a few bucks.
It is not like MJF where he is selling his feud and careers online, neither is he attacking people most tome he tries to put people over even in character. And it is so over the top you know it aint serious.
