Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it a DRAWING of Cornette? And, if so, wouldn't that bea drawing G-Raver got permission to use? Or was it a drawing of Cornette that Corny himself had already used on his stuff. As a copyright hobbyist, Jim Cornette is a public figure and if the art is original art that doesn't trace a specific known photograph or Cornette and that Cornette doesn't own the rights too, and the shirt doesn't say his name, there's nothing really he can do. It's not mistakable for a piece of Cornette merchandise, it's not a threat on a shirt, so it would fall under the grounds as protected by the first amendment. Sure, but maybe Cornette shouldn't have wished literal death on G-Raver on his podcast to begin with. This is a major point. He wished death on a fellow human being who he's never met. That person selling a t-shirt in response shouldn't be an issue. I make my packages look the same when I mail out stuff. The most orders I think I’ve gotten in a day was in the 30s. It can be a pain in the ass doing it all by yourself when you’re just mailing 30 things and want to maintain a consistent professional look. 300 must be an even bigger pain in the ass especially if you’re doing it consistently. You mailed me a blu-ray seven years ago and it arrived in pristine, incredible condition. Thanks again for that! It’s a drawing of Cornette’s disembodied head with his mouth taped shut, blood all over his face, his eyes X’d out, and large needles sticking in his head. And it says “f*** Jim Cornette” over and below the head.

Is Janela shipping orders of this size out to his fans daily? No idea but he runs his own successfull wrestling event and is part of a national tv show. Much more relevant overall. Jim Cornette has one of the biggest wrestling podcasts and is also on a national wrestling show.

A Jim Cornette thread where weird defense games are played, AEW gets dragged back into the topic when this wasn't even one of their guys, and a post decrying how the haters are mean to him before anyone even said a single unkind thing to him? Yeah I guess it's been a week or two since the last one.

Yeah I guess it's been a week or two since the last one. There really isn't much to discuss here. Cornette wished G-Raver didn't survive his light tube accident, G-Raver took offense and made some merchandise expressing his feelings that may be infringing on Cornette's rights. So G-Raver pulls the shirt to avoid the lawsuit and instead starts selling "blank" t-shirts that could end up getting mixed up with the older product, and that's how it stands. It's a surprisingly mundane story when we aren't comparing Janella and Cornette's twitter followers and who sells more merchanidse and anything else tangentially related.

That f***ing light tube spot was beyond stupid to begin with.
Jim didn't "wish death" on anyone. He said something sarcastically about the fans paying to see him bleed out (or something along those lines) but he was hardly being literal.

Oh no the Janela comparison stuff I totally get, but there's some defenses that just feel like the same old song and dance where Cornette doesn't fire the warning shot and everyone's just being a big ol' meany to him on principle before anyone's even said anything.

They need more excuses to write him off as evil or irrelevant. It makes them feel better for whatever reason.

Nobody comes off well from feuds involving corny these days, everyone comes off as arrogant manchildren, including Corny himself.
Just let him continue to rant his way into obscurity and go on with your career if you're confident in the value of your work.

For the most part, I'm a Jim Cornette guy in that he and I have similar views about what is and isn't entertaining in wrestling. I think he goes too far with some of his rants like wishing for people to be boiled in oil and have their fat sold as soap is a bit much for me. However, I just chalk it up to Jim being colorful and hyperbolic. That being said, I'm a bit disappointed that a guy who says and does the shit that he does can't take this as a joke. The man has a t-shirt of himself pissing on another man's grave. He sold copies of another dude's restraining order against him. I honestly think that he would be able to appreciate something like this. I could even see him going on his podcast and going, "Well, the outlaw mudshow mfs are at it again. This time, their trying to use me to make money, which is a good idea because it'll probably be the best selling shirt in outlaw mudshow history...…" In other words, I thought Jim would be more of a "roll with the punches" kind of guy.

Being rude as f*** is still being rude as f***.No one here even said he was evil or irrelevant, not in this thread at least ,you are the one crying victim about that. It is scary how the cult of cornette is almost literally a cult, the childish ,arrogant behavior of Cornette and his cult will always be my biggest issue about these things.

That is usually the case when it comes to online beef with cornette.Usually everyone comes off as childish since most mature ones take the high road. Like Kenny or Bucks just say something when asked and it is usually a classy calm response

I’m not “crying victim” about anything. I’m not a member of the “cult” either. Carnies are going to carny. You give anyone in the wrestling business a chance to sue you they’re going to do it. It should come as no surprise. It’s easy money. It would be a real shame if one of Cornette’s fans orders one of those blank shirts and does an unboxing on YouTube or Twitter showing the date on the package, the name of the person sending it, opening it up and seeing the shirt that was taken down is being sold anyway. I imagine there would be quite a bit of crying then. It won’t be Jim Cornette doing it either.

Your first post before anything even happened was how about Cornette would be unfairly attacked, you were pretty much crying victim before anything happened. Don't really get the point of the last part either.Guess Cornette would sue him, which he should if that happens?

Going by your previous response and your spelling and spacing mistakes here you don’t seem upset at all. All I did was point out the obvious. That his haters would show up to attempt to bury him. Wouldn’t you know who won the pony? The last part part of my post is called keeping the thread on topic. Cornette doesn’t need the death match guy’s money but I won’t blame him for taking it. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

About what G-Raver said, for Jim to be guilty of defamiation of character what he said has to be false but said as a statement of fact. Jim's opinion won't cut it.
And another week, another Cornette fight. Like another person here has said, I respect Jim as an historian. I get he really cares about what he views as professional wrestling. But he does have anger issues and he has said some offensive stuff over the years. Hell just two weeks ago with the butterface comments about Jordanlynne Grace.

The big problem with this thread is Cornette never wished death on this jabroni. And selling “merch” that doesn’t even mention the actual wrestler on it is lame.

Talking shit without being able to take it is classic bully behavior 101. He's far from the only public figure who throws out tons of insults and is also incredibly thin-skinned.
