If I hear "guy walks into a locker room fixated on lost sweater, becomes aggressive suddenly then when removed from building becomes suicidal" I'm going to strongly suggest hospitalization and maybe even commitment Did I miss something? This is the first I've heard of him being suicidal. They don't call an ambulance and have you taken to a hospital for saying you're a loser and an asshole. They do that when you're threatening self-harm.

I have something I'd like to say after reading through the thread. I see a lot of "poor Cass, I hope he gets help" without knowing the facts, and it bothers me. I'm a councillor for teens and young adults dealing with depression, panic and anxiety disorder. I've met some great people who just needed help, many of whom going through experiences in life most adults couldn't handle. Most of them have no one rooting for them at home, either. Yet they still make conscious choices every day to treat myself and the people around them with decency and respect. Has Cass shown that? I'm not saying one way or the other on Cass. I don't have any knowledge beyond past reports. What I do know is that he's got a history of being physically and/or verbally aggressive towards women and minorities. Taking that into account, it's hard for me to think this is a good person who needs some work. From my perspective, being an asshole who needs help doesn't make you not an asshole. Doesn't make ya beyond help though.

Really happy to hear he's getting professional help and has a support system.

Glad he's getting help, though, his letter suggests he hadn't been before, or any worthwhile treatment. Though, working in the MH field, I would guess he's getting more intensive treatment. The worst part of newly diagnosed, you don't know if you had a single episode or if you need to buckle up for reoccurring episodes. If so, don't self discontinue treatment.

The majority of IWC, Janela and Enzo (in his post) have shown class. Enzo could have made it about him, he didn't, he published Cass' words.
There's a possibility of it being a long journey for him, but all decent and kind wrestling fans will be waiting for him when he comes through it

Best of luck to him. I don't want to see him turn into a Billy Jack Haynes, or worse.

I read in previous interviews that Cass has admitted to having troubles with depression. There were indications that he was working on getting better but judging by this incident he's not better. Maybe this incident will lead to him getting the help he needs and maybe save his life. Minor nitpick about wording: Recovery from mental health is ongoing. It's a day-to-day struggle. To suggest that he's not better because he has a relapse is not accurate. He just had a relapse. It happens to people all the time. He is handling it with grace and taking responsibility for his actions. That is the sign of someone who is better.

Both Kevin Matthews and Pat Buck have also reached out to Cass and also wished the best and the door is open again for him to come back.

That is the sign of someone who is better. Sadly, there is no "better" when it comes to mental illness. There is coping with it, working with it and working around it - all to keep things more level, but there is no "better." It will always be there.

I can't believe how nicely this has been handled by Cass, Enzo and Janela, all of whom have reputations for being assholes.
The industry is a better place than it used to be.

I thought he was living with DDP to help him get better? There was a video that was promoted on DDP's YouTube channel that indicated that DDP was the one who was helping him get back on his feet.

DDP doesn't keep a stockpile of wrestlers living with him. They visit him, some hang for a while, but they eventually go back to their own stuff. And DDP isn't a cure-all. He helps, but a lot of the success that's been seen from his program is the wrestlers themselves sticking to the commitment.
