Chris Benoit vs. Rob Van Dam from SummerSlam 2002. For whatever reason, this is their only televised match despite being in the company together for 6 years. Anyway, they went out there and had a very different match than either guy was having at the time and it was refreshing. Benoit just beat the crap out of RVD any time he tried his usual fancy shit, so eventually Van Dam stopped getting fancy and just started laying in body kicks and forearm shots. That seemed to take Benoit by surprise, so he started breaking out a bunch of suplexes I thought he'd forgotten back in WCW. Fun fact, this is also the only WWE match where RVD's hair came completely out if the ponytail. Probably says more about how rough Benoit was if anything. I find it hard to watch Benoit matches but I need to give this a watch. I watched Summerslam 02 when it aired and have seen the HHH/HBK match since.

Owen Hart vs. The 123 Kid from KOTR 94. An amazing sub 10 minute match.

Bret Hart vs. 1-2-3 Kid for the World title on an early episode of Raw. A great match that showcases how great Waltman was in the ring. I remember watching this as a little kid, being a huge mark for Waltman (it helped he also looked like a kid) and being hype as hell thinking he was about to win the title

Tommy Rich and Ricky Morton vs Midnight Express at Havoc 90. It’s not the usual RnR vs Midnights, but it’s pretty dang enjoyable

You could probably just list a load of Regal matches for this, he had the knack of just making his matches stand out but my pick would be Lord Steven Regal vs Fit Finlay from the 26th April '96 on WCW Saturday Night. It's more of a fight than a match because they absolutely leather each other. Made all the better by Dusty on commentary clearly loving every second of it.

If there's ever been a candidate for "too good at wrestling," it's Waltman. His opponents looked like a trillion bucks over and over again, and I think it actually kept people from realizing that he was the common factor.
I mean, there's a lot of reasons his career has been a roller coaster, but I think that's one of them.

Tony said one of his all time favorite matches that he's called is Regal vs. Finlay at Uncensored 96 for the sheer brutality of it. That is a hell of a compliment when you think of how many years Tony announced and how many matches he's called.

DDP vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. at Fall Brawl 1996, great opening match and the crowd is into DDP here even though he is a heel and nowhere near turning face at this point.

ECW Heatwave 1999, Nova & Chris Chetti vs Danny Doring & Roadkill.
Great action and super entertaining. I also believe it's Lita's only ECW PPV appearance.

I remember Jeff Jarrett and Bob Holly having a really solid match for the IC title on an episode of Superstars

Vader vs Nikita at Halloween Havoc 92. It’s just a fight beyeeen two monsters just beating the crap out of each other. Kinda sloppy but that’s apart of the matches charm in my mind.

DDP is one of those WCW guys who was pretty over but his finish was mega over. I was watching a lot of WCW in 1996 recently and Page usually gets a pop from most fans, heel heat once he starts doing spots in the match, and then a huge pop for the Diamond Cutter.

Regal vs. Arn, SuperBrawl IV. Amazing match, admittedly not for everyone (Meltzer and Scott Keith are just two people who took a colossal dump on it, presumably because it didn't have 25 suplex variations and 15 false finishes.)

Spud/Drake v EC3 in a hair match. Notable because neither man is hardly a ring general indeed EC3 is quite mediocre workrate wise and Spud will never set the world on fire due to his size but they clicked, really good chemistry and a great blow off to their feud helped by the stipulation and it being in Spud's hometown. TNA was going through one of its LOL phases at the time so its often forgotten. Easily the best match of both men's careers.
