Kofi beats Reigns cleanly in their first match and a frustrated Reigns cheats and turns heel (teaming up with Joe?) to win the title in the rematch, would be more original than Brock deciding to show up. Man, if they did that I'd be doing the "Vince McMahon falling backwards in the chair" thing. That idea is GOLDEN. Too bad it's likely going to stay an idea.

I like Kofi, but I think this is a natural conclusion. I'm guessing we probably get Daniel to either lose it to Roman or a dark horse like Ali, though the Brock option is also of course possible, depending how the draft turns out. I don't know if Brock would be that keen to be on the show not ran by Heyman, though.

I didn't include him in the OP but yeah Finn Balor
He needs a run and a heel turn and this is the perfect vehicle

With the Revival winning the SDL tag titles I don't think Kofi is done with Orton. Could see the New Day vs. FTRKO winner take all at Hell in a Cell. I figure next face up will be KO and I just cannot see him facing Shane or Elias. Then again the Draft will be shortly after so it may not matter.

Given he practically got the strap because of a complete lack of alternatives and hasn't exactly set the world on fire, yeah, I can see the logic in taking it off him.
But, we're still left with a lack of any real alternatives. It's either putting it on guys who've already had several reigns already and don't have much else to offer, or pushing someone new up the card before they're ready.

It feels like Kofi may actually be less over as champ than he's been in years.

You know what is really annoying? Kofi's reign only really sucks when it comes to the PPV matches. The segments on Smackdown? The beat downs or angles, or even TV matches? Those are awesome. The segments with Dolph where good at least on Kofi's end of things. The build with Orton wand with Joe were honestly great. Whoever is putting these matches together needs to get a clue though. Watching tonight, if I went in cold, I'd have never guessed this was an intense feud that's been a decade in the making.

All good things must come to an end. Kofi's had a hell of a run, but I think we're reaching the conclusion.
Just... anyone but Brock. For the love of God not another in absentia Lesnar title reign making the rest of the roster look like fools.

Yeah. It's time. On paper this all looks great, he overcame his past and did the impossible. If this goes on much longer the crowd might turn on him though since there's no interesting stories lined up now. The quandary here is... who does he have left? You can't just put him in a program with Andrade since Andrade has been doing f*** all for all of 2019, and Shinsuke is going to be stuck feuding with the Miz for a while. Heck, if it wasn't for his injury, we'd be dealing with Racist McRacistface as the #1 contender at some point. Which means... oh, no... We're getting the Shane feud now.

I know he's still injured, but there's a chance they'll push him hard once more when he comes back.

The draft is coming which can change things Guys like Finn, Drew, and Lashley are all coming back from injuries/vacation. Braun despite the L can instantly be inserted into a feud. He has options, just a matter of who

Unless management has seriously cooled off on Lars "RAC Enthusiast" Sullivan, he's unfortunately and absolutely getting a world championship run once he gets back.

I seriously wouldn't be shocked if Rowan beats him and drops the belt to Reigns.

Brock should cash in on him on the premier on Fox and then have The Fiend win the Rumble and beat Brock at Mania. This can still happen somehow. Right???

Personally it's felt a bit like midcard Kofi's been slumming it in the world title scene. They really should have made some sort of soft split between main eventer Kofi, and the New Day act. Not actually split them up, but draw a definitive line where there's a distinction between goofy pancake tossing Kofi and the world champion who's taking this shit more seriously. Instead they ended up doing a half measure where he's meant to be both, but it's such a contrast between the two characters that it just didn't seem to work.
The Ziggler feud didn't help either. But really besides the actual title win which was tremendous, not a lot of this has done much for me. I guess he's more of a legitimate future challenger now, but I struggle to imagine him ever winning the belt again.
